What is Preno - Hotel Management Software?

Preno is a hotel software company that offers cloud solutions for independent hoteliers - offering a PMS, Channel Manager and Booking Engine.

Preno is a hotel management solution that automates and streamlines daily administration tasks, helping operators run their front desk and back office. The platform can be used by a variety of accommodation businesses, such as resorts, bed and breakfasts, vacation rentals, boutique hotels, villas, lodges, and serviced apartments.

Preno's features include bookings management, with check-in and check-out processes. The user can drag and drop on the home grid to move bookings around, and create and store detailed guest profiles and agent information. This allows the user to save time on admin, and to provide a seamless and personalized guest experience. Invoicing a guest or agent is also accomplished from within Preno.

Preno also integrates with payment gateways so that credit cards can be securely stored and charged from directly within the app. The user can also bill-to-room with the integration with Kounta POS, allowing users to charge guest's dining bills straight to their room.

Preno's integration with leading channel managers allow accommodation operators to distribute their rooms through Online Travel Agents (OTA) such as Booking.com and Expedia. Bookings coming through these channel managers will automatically drop into the Preno grid, and with its real-time availability sync, double bookings are avoided.

The reporting tab offers real-time reports to support business decisions. The user can set targets to see how a hotel's performance is tracking against them for the month.

Preno's integration with Xero allows for streamlined accounting processes. Payments can be pushed through within Preno, and mapped to the desired accounts within Xero. Reconciliation is made easier with Preno and Xero's functionality, helping users save time and increase accuracy.

  • Supported: Preno’s reporting provides a complete overview of business performance. It also helps to drill down into specific details such as source, room-type, and date.
  • Supported: Preno allows users to set rules for check-in/out dates, and room rates. The tool saves time, as it allows users to dynamically adjust multiple rates at one time.
  • Supported: Bookings can be edited directly from the dashboard. Preno’s drag and drop feature can be used to shift booking dates or rooms.

Preno is our booking engine for all our bookings and it has been seamless. We love the automation the system provides, its very user-friendly once the system is set up and the best thing is the customer service provided. It is flawless and very precise. One of the most important aspects of Preno that has helped my business is that it is progressive and constantly strives to meet the needs of the customer. The staff at Preno are extremely helpful and very perceptive. You know you are well looked after by a team with excellent technical skills. This allows businesses like us to save time because you know you won't be given the runaround and be given precise solutions when in need.

Also, its ability to work with other software has proved extremely useful for us. Especially its integration with Lightspeed POS. This Property Management Software fits perfectly with our organization.

Preno - Hotel Management Software is perfect for a small to medium-sized hotel starting to work with software. With the amazing customer service, the implementation will be quick and the simplicity of the software is easy to get used to. The software is not compatible with all the accounting software so the one already being used may not be integrated.

The simple and effective working of the software is what we felt different from the others. There is no need for a thrid party support to do 90% of the functions and if at all there is some problem, thier support team is there to help. And it is good value for money.

I use Preno as a PMS linked with SiteMinder for all of my national and international bookings for boutique accommodation business.
Staff cannot direct you how to link with Xero. Staff doesn't answer the phone or reply to chats for up to 22 hours. Staff doesn't care that it cost me a fortune to undo Xero issues that should never have occurred in the first place.
  • Links to SiteMinder.
  • Down $3000+ due to accountants fees.
  • Cheaper than Cloudbeds initially but price has now increased so no savings anymore.
SiteMinder bloke told me Preno was the best long-term if using Xero. He lied.

Reception. Need to put nightly rate in on the date when looking at Preno. Now you have to flip through to SiteMinder to find dates when talking to people. Unnecessary. If nightly price was visible so much better.
