Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

This is a great system for small and medium businesses dealing from 1 product to 100,000 products. It is elegant to use and very stable.

The system may not be great for converting into a marketplace and the handling of > 1million products.
The system is also not suitable for services selling like events, registrations, subscriptions and ticket bookings etc.

Any business looking to sell products online--hardware or software--can make use of PrestaShop. It's more suited to being a product selling platform rather than a service selling one. So if you are in the IT industry, selling computer hardware like central processing units, hard drives, solid state drives, etc., as well as computer software, then use PrestaShop. It's not meant for all industries like selling music--the option to stream the music online before purchasing isn't really going to be as possible on PrestaShop.

As a beginner, it took a while to adapt to the Presta shop usage. It is actually quite hard if you are using it on the phone modifying our bookings has taken a lot of time in comparison with working with the laptop so I always prefer to use the laptop in such a case. However, once anyone adapts to this program it is fine.

I really wouldn't recommend PrestaShop to every person or business. This service has very good features to be able to create an online store and allow customers to add products to their cart instantly, it allows to make electronic payments quickly and the money reaches the company's wallet instantly, without However, it has many disadvantages, PrestaShop does not have a technical service to help implement the software on the website, so if you are thinking of using PrestaShop, you must first have a good team of web developers who are capable of integrating PrestaShop with the Wordpress site without any problem, in addition, PrestaShop takes up a lot of space in the Hosting service, each product that you add to the PrestaShop catalog occupies much more Hosting space and this causes the catalog to take longer to load when the client comes to visualize it. To use PrestaShop I recommend a very powerful Hosting that is able to withstand the high consumption it has.

If you are a smaller company, make sure to research the available modules to you and if you need to get more modules to meet your needs! If so, the cost can add up. The functionality is great and easy to use so you don't need any special knowledge for this software.

I will admit we've been spoiled by using BigCommerce for years and prior to that, Magento. Moving over to PrestaShop has been a nightmare compared to those two solid e-commerce solutions. True, with PrestaShop, it's been easier for our developers to API to our ERP, but overall, from a user perspective, I would not recommend PrestaShop for any business solution.

Being a self-hosted solution, it is well suited for people who have a minimum of technical and coding knowledge. If you have no technical skills, you may need to go with other options that are hosted. Also, if you are not willing to invest in customizations and add-ons, PrestaShop would not be the best option to go with.

Prestashop offers a quick solution for companies who want a scalable solution in less time and with a low budget requirement. It's perfect for startup and pilot-projects. For example, it's very hard to put Prestashop in the middle of a multi-channel business due to security risks, difficult to exchange data from one database to another, API requests and more.

It's good if you want to use it as is, maybe with some modules. Developing for it is a totally different issue and I don't recommend it unless there is a full team of experienced developers, and/or an outsourced prestashop team.

I would think that PrestaShop is suited for anyone who wants to be more hands-on with their site. You are able to customize practically any aspect of the platform to fit your needs. This is also very developer friendly so the coding and customizations are not difficult to adapt to.
