Prime Suite EHR: if you want to feel like you're playing tetris or minesweeper while working at a medical practiceWe use it to schedule doctors appointments: initial appointments, follow up appointments, and problem visits. Our clinical team also uses it as a database for information, charts, and other things. We also use it for our transportation services in order to have vans pick people up to take them to and from appointments. We leave notes, contact information, and hold slots for one another.,It is a trusty software that does not crash or glitch very often It is very secure I can use it from different locations,It feels very old, like I am using software from the 90s There is a lot of clicking, there could definitely be more drop downs and less time loading each individual screen and page It doesn't seem super integrated spatially into different sized desktops, it's a kind of awkward sized window,3,Positive - It is very trusty - so we never have tech failures coming from PSEHR Negative - it makes it so that we are not very efficient in scheduling because of how long it takes to click all the clicks and wait for each screen to pop-up Negative - The organization of the software is all over the place, making it frustrating to find all the information needed,Salesforce Lightning,Salesforce Lightning, Google Drive, Zoho CRM,General practitioner,6-10 practitionersPrime Suite is well suited for OB/Gyn practices!Our clinic has been using Prime Suite since 2004, so we have many years of experience with it. It is a good, solid EHR product and provides good support for our OB/Gyn practice. We have 70+ users and 4 locations and it works well for us. As I expected, it seems to get slower with each upgrade, but that is not too surprising since the program is constantly growing, as is our database. The EHR portion of Prime Suite works well and provides lots of details to the physicians and nurses. Billing is solid and I don't hear many complaints from the billing staff.,Charting is very nice and easy to use once the templates are designed. Reporting is good, but the report designer could be a little easier to use for the non-technical user. The Patient Info screen is very comprehensive and has lots on info readily available.,Speed, it continues getting slower and slower with each new upgrade. Prime Suite does not use the screen space very effectively. On larger monitors with higher resolution, there is a LOT of wasted space. Strange errors pop up that give little to no useful information about what the issue is, and the typical response from support is to uninstall and reinstall the programs on the workstation.,9,Prime Suite provides us with a reliable charting and billing solution for our OB/Gyn medical practice. I specifically oversee five practices that are CHCs or Community Health Centers. We actually have RHCs, FQHCs, and a CAH utilizing PrimeSuite along with a myriad of other practices from family practice to multi-specialty. We bill medical, dental and behavioral health claims on both UB and HCFA formats.,The CHC Claims Engine feature of PrimeSuite is handy for those that need it - it enables us to pinpoint specific rules that payers require for RHC/FQHC claims and enhances the capabilities of PrimeSuite without getting too complicated. PrimeSuite has many reporting features, allowing you to look at your account from multiple views. PrimeSuite is constantly being enhanced and updated to meet customer needs.,Updates are often "glitchy" but issues are resolved quickly. Some users complain that the clinical side of the EHR system is not as user-friendly as they would like. Some reports do not integrate with each other - there are fields that should be available but are not.   • It is a trusty software that does not crash or glitch very often
  • It is very secure
  • I can use it from different locations
  • It feels very old, like I am using software from the 90s
  • There is a lot of clicking, there could definitely be more drop downs and less time loading each individual screen and page
  • It doesn't seem super integrated spatially into different sized desktops, it's a kind of awkward sized window
If you do not mind poor aesthetics and want software that will do the work simply, this may be a good option.

  • Reporting is good, but the report designer could be a little easier to use for the non-technical user.

Prime Suite EHR is a good system for a small to mid-size practice. Lots of features that are very useful and it sizes well for those environments. Proper hardware and good support are the keys to success with Prime Suite, as it is with most other software. Good product, stable, reliable and many features.

PrimeSuite is great for a practice that has knowledgeable billing staff and a hands-on approach to billing; it is not ideal for those who need something more automated. You can customize PrimeSuite to prevent posting errors at charge entry and to catch some common mistakes. However, these must be set up by someone who knows what those errors are, and as payers change their requirements, they must be updated.

About Prime Suite EHR (Discontinued)

Prime Suite is no longer offered by Greenway Health; however the vendor provides an alternative product called Intergy EHR. You can read reviews of Intergy EHR here.

Prime Suite was a cloud-based suite of integrated solutions that provided a clinically-driven practice management system and EHR. It was designed to make life easier for the user, with features such as facesheet and a template library to help locate clinical details for documentation, customizable templates to capture patient data at the point of care, and an integrated dictation tool called Prime Speech. Prime Suite allowed users to exchange clinical data with other healthcare organizations through Greenway Exchange.
