The ability to track and monitor these processes has been instrumental in improving efficiency and assessing customer satisfaction. In addition, users have found ProcessMaker to be an excellent BPMN system for implementing workflow projects. It offers an intuitive drag and drop workflow designer that simplifies the task of creating graphical representations of processes and related electronic forms. The tool also allows users to customize workflows through code, providing flexibility and customization options.

One specific use case where ProcessMaker has excelled is in automating HR workflows, such as managing the process for handling incoming candidate resumes. With the help of ProcessMaker's workflow designer, streamlining HR processes has become seamless. Users have also praised the tool for its suitability in building complex task flows and implementing process management solutions in industries like oil and gas. The BPMN2.0 engine in ProcessMaker enables users to design and implement task workflow designs easily through the GUI. Additionally, software developers have benefited from ProcessMaker's Restful API, which enhances operability and scalability.

Looking ahead, users are eager to see future updates of ProcessMaker that introduce more subsidiary features for company or government social communities. Overall, customers have found ProcessMaker to be an invaluable tool for optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall productivity in a wide range of industries.

They have expressed difficulties in understanding and implementing complex workflows using the software. Confusing User Interface: Several reviewers have mentioned that they found the user interface of the software to be not straightforward and had difficulty finding main features in the menu. This has caused frustration and inefficiency when navigating through the system. • Acquire PHP technical skills for advanced features. ProcessMaker is easy to use and implement, but having PHP knowledge is beneficial for fully utilizing its capabilities. Trying the evaluation version and attending in-person training can be helpful.

  • Optimize business processes before automating them and take adequate time to learn and effectively use the platform. Reducing the reliance on external plugins and considering the enterprise edition can provide better functionality. Reading documentation, trying free trials, and researching are also recommended.

These recommendations emphasize the importance of using the self-hosted version, acquiring PHP technical skills, optimizing processes, and investing time in learning and researching to effectively use ProcessMaker for automation and streamlining of business processes.

I reviewed ProcessMaker as part of an initiative to find the best fit for a local school. They had an issue with efficiency and spending time on the right tasks. They were spending too much time in trivial things which could be automated, and doing these things on paper, so they were easily spending at least a full day's worth of time doing these things. My role was to come in and find a solution which addresses both their efficiency issues and making sure the process is more refined. They wanted to spend more time working on the relationship with customers and not simply filling out paperwork day after day.
  • User interface. It is clean and easy to understand. You won't get overwhelmed the second you log in.
  • The workflow maker. With a drag and drop interface, you can easily visualize and implement what you want on the screen. Out of all the programs we tested, this one had the easiest process maker and designer.
  • Ease of understanding. My biggest recommendation would be that this program is easy to access for anyone. There are complications (see negatives) but this program can be implemented quickly and efficiently, and nearly anyone can learn to use it. You will not feel like you are in the dark with it.
  • Complications when you get to the more advanced pieces. When trialing, I found that the more advanced a process got, the more complicated it got for me in coding. When you begin using the more advanced features, you will find that you need to have a basic knowledge of coding - otherwise you won't go any further. This was my sole issue. Unfortunately, it was one that would have brought the school to a grinding halt if they were to ever get more complicated than they were.
I loved it. You will not get an easier interface. You can develop workflow processes in a simple way, one which allows anyone to understand what you are trying to accomplish; however, you will get into some issues if your employees are scared of coding (when you get to the advanced features). For some, this will never be an issue as the knowledge you need is very basic. But for the school I was working with, it would have stopped them cold.

  • This would have been the easiest program to implement. It would have been the quickest, and the one that most of the employees would have been able to master. That alone would have saved countless dollars in time investment.
  • Unfortunately, the environment doesn't support knowledge of coding. So, they would never be able to advance further than a certain degree before having to bring someone else in again. It would have saved money at first, but then would have ended up costing in the long run.
In the short run, ProcessMaker blows KiSSFLOW away. It is easy to understand and use. But in the long run, once you get into more complicated actions, they equal out. The price was right, and while we eventually went for another option, ProcessMaker would have been the next choice had it not implied a future where they would stand still in the face of more advanced options.

An amazing BPMN system which helps us to implement our workflow projects. We needed to normalize our business processes. By using Processmaker, we draw our process and related electronic forms easily. And, ProcessMaker provides an easy way to write code to customize the workflow. Great!
  • We can write PHP and Javascript code to handle the way the ProcessMaker does. It makes the ProcessMaker more flexible to meet our requests on our workflow.
  • The Processmaker provides a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get flowchart design tool, we can draw our process very easy like Visio. And, We can use the flowchart to implement our workflow.
  • Also, the Dynaform, the electronic form function of Processmaker, is WYSIWYG form design tool, help us design forms participated in the process.
  • The Compatibility with IE Browser. The IE Browser is not compatible with jQuery, and ProcessMaker is based on jQuery, The user who uses IE Browser is somewhat difficult using ProcessMaker normally.
Design Flowchart, and Electronic paper easily, I designed the following flow chart about 3 hours, https://i.imgur.com/Tpr8ovO.png and the following form in 1 hour, https://i.imgur.com/GAx5Nvh.png And, this is the first time I am using Processmaker.I can control the workflow by PHP and Javascript code, by trigger and code inside to handle the submit button, etc. It's a simple and powerful BPMN tools better than the others I've used before.

  • I'm using Communication edition to introduce BPMN in my organization. I can build the first process in a short time, make my boss more confident with my job.
  • But, with ProcessMaker, we need more time to design code to handle the process, and without PHP/Javascript Programmer, it seems hard to work with more and more processes online.
  • However, IE Browser is not well supported, somewhat let the user confuse.
Simple, and easy to use..

We use ProcessMaker to diagram, organize, document and track/monitor the real flow of our customer services-related processes. The main and most important problem that the tool addresses is, in our opinion, our need to monitor internal processes, measure performers' efficiency and assess customer quality. Likewise, it's been critical to help us turn our processes into a graphical and straightforward guidance on how to better perform a task for our teams.
  • Metrics, dashboards, and KPIs provide managers with the right indicators to measure efficiency.
  • Design: extremely easy to draw BPMN 2.0-based processes.
  • Real-time process track: The status of any task can be monitored at any time.
  • User's menu: not straightforward, main features difficult to find.
  • Coding requirements: several important and valuable features require complicated coding.
ProcessMaker is:
  • Suitable for customer-oriented businesses processes.
  • Convenient for firms with the need to track teams' performance with tailored indicators.
  • Not adequate for simple processes which require only modeling and graphic design.

  • Measurable improvement in employees' efficiency in terms of time and cost.
  • Trackable customer satisfaction levels through faster and optimized responsiveness to their needs, due to more efficient processes.
  • Better management: Useful insights on team management due to timely and appropriate metrics.
Before making the decision to get ProcessMaker, we assessed different and best options in the market, which are also quite competitive. KiSSFLOW, Blueworks Live, and Bizagi, being the most relevant and ADONIS, to mention the ones we consider the most relevant and capable of meeting our needs.

In the end, we went for ProcessMaker because of mainly three things as described before:
1. Real-time process status tracking.
2. Metrics and dashboards.
3. Ease of use for constructing diagrams.

The processmaker tool has been a real help in automating some of my workflow in my department. We are using it for managing the HR process to handle incoming candidate resumes. The tool has helped to streamline the HR work. Hiring and managing human resources has been a great ease with the simple drag and drop workflow designer. Also, it is easy to design and modify the workflow without having deep programming knowledge.
  • Easy workflow designing
  • Case tracking
  • Highly flexible and general purpose
  • I am still not able to achieve complicated workflows. May be a developer to create a plugin is required.
  • The UI can be more attractive and colourful.
It is best suited for organisation that needs to automate a simple workflow which generally gets messed up in a manual system. It is easy to use and design. A small and medium sized business must go for it. If you are looking for a too complex workflow design then you may need to hire a process maker plugin developer.

  • It has made my staff life easier with the easy UI.
  • Have to invest less time to train the staff on what to do and when.
  • For reports, plugins have to be developed, that seems to be an additional cost.
It is far cheaper than JIRA. I have used JIRA , the UI is good as compared to processmaker. But compared to workflow designing and management, I found processmaker far easier. And yes ProcessMaker requires less resources to run on.
