Change Order tracking is simpler. RFI management is streamlined and intuitive. Document management is streamlined and virtually self managing once the OCR tool gets up to speed.

All of the modules and tools play a role in our documentation goals. They are a great and streamlined tool to use. The safety and quality "field tools" help ID risks in the field, and the use of the observations tool has enabled our team to communicate these risks and train the responsible parties to mitigate them. The construction financials tool helps to track cost impacts and streamline the reporting because it is all done in one place. Any time anything happens that could impact cost, it is a "change event." This alone has changed our company culture to begin tracking and assessing these things earlier and more effectively in the life of a project.

Obviously the cloud based aspect helps everyone be on the same page. Pushing safety information out via Procore, as well as site photo's back, helps our corporate safety group keeps tabs on all sites. Financial tracking at the project management level is effective. The time card feature works pretty seamlessly and allows us to accurately cost time the right location.

Cloud-based document management keeps everyone in the know. All project information can be accessed remotely and doesn't require lugging around a 30 lb. roll of project drawings or a 20 lb. spec book. The superintendents onsite can keep accurate job site reports and don't have to be meteorologists to forecast or get accurate weather reporting for their site. The financials, in conjunction with Sage 300 CRE (for us), help keep everything visible for those involved as well.

If they got Procore accounts to share information between them to reduce data entry, added the ability to get geofencing for the time clock portion, fixed the task tool, and better integrated with HR and Accounting solutions, this would be a very nice product. We're pleased with the drawing, document, and photo collaboration.

Drawings - These ensure everyone has the most up to date project files.
Photos - These allow everyone to see what the guys in the field are seeing.
Daily Log - Our customized Daily Log allows us to track equipment, deliveries, workforce, inspections, delays. That, along with the ability to attach photos and files, creates a complete daily report.
Change Events - This module allows us to start the creation of a change that will eventually turn into a Potential Change Order.
Time Tracking - We don't currently use Procore for time tracking as it doesn't suit our needs. It would be nice if one day Procore were to acquire a timekeeping company that allows an individual to clock in and out on their own. If Procore could roll this feature into its platform, it would benefit a lot of subcontractors.

Procore retains a history of all of the drawing versions and files to help maintain visibility on projects. It makes it easy to report job conditions as well as safety inspections that stay with the job automatically. Once you add files and markups on the app in the field it's automatically available on the site in the office.

Gaining visibility into the projects was crucial for our on-site team to understand exactly the challenges we would be facing and how we would be tackling them. Information being in a hub and up to date also helped us with this. Reports were streamlined and very easy to complete and use. Job site risks were reported and distributed in a way where everyone could see. The forecast helped us out a lot, as in 1 hub we could decide whether we could work or not (we need clear weather).

We needed the easy setup of the project, the user-friendly self-management that the software allowed as surprises came up throughout the project, and the overall speed that it took for everyone to learn how to use the software. For us, this was just a good fit. It was what we needed when we needed it.
