I primarily use PromoRepublic to schedule my social media posts and videos across several networks at specified times. This saves me a lot of time flipping between several social media platforms posting one at a time. Also being able to schedule it in advance allows me to have free time on vacations or the weekend or in the evening.

If you’re looking for a way to save time posting on multiple social media channels and also scheduling multiple posts over a period of time then PromoRepublic does a good job of that. In my opinion, its functionality doesn’t extend much beyond that though. So, in my opinion, if you’re looking for something more then this is probably not the best choice for you.

Radaars basic functionality does the same thing but it’s more robust than PromoRepublic because it has such features as ability to manage chats across several platforms. Further, RADAAR offers the ability to post directly to Tik Tok which PromoRepublic does not do. And given the popularity of that platform it should be a must.

Our clients don't always give us enough information to complete their social media schedules so PromoRepublic's "Post Ideas" is a great place for us to give them examples to get them started. We also use it as a scheduling platform for some of our clients with a smaller budget.

While it is not the top-of-a-line product, it definitely has more bells and whistles than most scheduling platforms. It is great for organizations and brands on a budget.

We use PromoRepublic to handle the social media scheduling, some image creation, and social media analytics for two of our clients, as well as some of our own posting. These clients also work with freelancers for certain campaigns, and we use PromoRepublic to collaborate with these freelancers, provide guidance and approve any posts they create.
  • Calendar overview for all platforms per client is great.
  • Image creation tool is fairly robust.
  • Analytics dashboard is excellent and easy for clients to understand.
  • Support is super quick.
  • Support doesn't always understand the issues you bring to them, and it can take some back and forth to get a resolution.
  • Can only post 1 image direct to Instagram.
  • Linking to social platforms can be finicky. We could only get it to work by having only 1 person link all of the platforms for a client.
PromoRepublic is excellent for collaboration, such as working with freelancers, or clients who want to leave notes and be responsible for final approval. It's also good for brands who need ideas about what to post on a daily basis, as their idea library is quite extensive. The image creation tool is also good for beginners, with plenty of templates, though it isn't as extensive as Canva. It's definitely a solid option for social media management. Can't think of a situation where it wouldn't be appropriate.

  • The ability to add notes to the calendar, rather than having to have a separate calendar for ideas.
  • Basic image creation is great for on-the-fly posts.

I enjoy PromoRepublic and would probably choose it over any of the other scheduling tools I've tried, because of the quick support, ease of use, and other benefits I've spoken about in this review. It definitely makes working with freelancers easier, as creating notes for them, as well as the approval/editing process for posts is super simple. The overview page and analytics are also superior to other similar platforms that I've tried.

We use PromoRepublic (PR) to handle all of our organization's social media scheduling. Like other schedulers, it allows us to schedule posts on a variety of social networks on the times and dates we choose. Unlike other schedules, it also contains a constantly evolving library of post ideas and templates that can be very helpful depending on your industry.
  • The scheduler is great, and it even provides recommendations for what to post when.
  • They're constantly offering educational webinars on how to get the most out of not only their product, but SMM in general.
  • The library of editable posts is a real differentiator, though it won't help all industries equally.
  • Doesn't integrate with 3rd party plugins or apps
  • No collaboration features for clients
PR is two tools in one: a schedule and a content library. The content library is definitely more suitable for the most common types of businesses (ecommerce, retail, etc). Mainstream businesses will be able to use most of the content library with very little adaptation. A more niche industry might not get much use out of the library at all. However, at the bare minimum, they're nice design templates.

We have two people in or organization who tag-team social media marketing. In this way, we can have very active social profiles without having a dedicated social media person (and without outsourcing it)! Having a tool like PR is a great way for smaller companies to leverage the power of SMM.

Ultimately I selected PR because I was able to get it for a one-time cost rather than a subscription, but now that I'm used to it I couldn't imagine life without it. I've only used the free versions of the other platforms, so my experience with PR is obviously superior. However, there is absolutely nothing about PR that would make me consider switching to an alternative.
