(1-5 of 5)Email filtering
- Identify and block spam emails
- Identify and block malicious emails
- Provides a report of items that have been blocked
- Allows users to release low threat items but items considered more risky need to be released by an admin
- Unsure how to train it to release false positives
- PP blocks 5-10 emails per day which are spam or malicious
- I only get a small number of emails per week which are spam
- The only malicious emails I receive are from our internal security team which bypasses the PP threat protection
Proofpoint is used across the entire organization and is centrally controlled by an international IT team.
The previous product did not give half as many options and had a very simple mail filter. Proofpoint has addressed a lot of issues we didn't even realize were problems at first!
- Email firewall.
- Email routing.
- Spam detection.
- User interface.
- Administration documentation.
- The cohesiveness of products.
- Massively increased email security.
- Phishing attempts no longer reach inboxes.
- The DMARC implementation has basically paid for itself.
- The targeted attack protection is brilliant and is how the rest of the products should be presented.
- Folder views.
- Firewall rules.
- Log viewer.
- Policy routes
- Navigating to other products is disjointed.

Proofpoint keeps email administrators happy
- With the TAP product, we get notified of threats that have slipped through to end users and are able to remediate those threats in a timely manner.
- The continual review of potential email threats even after they have been delivered is a life saver for us.
- There have been some examples of TAP notifications that include only the recipient's address. This makes it difficult to investigate the potential threat. However, it's our understanding that this is due to the way the email was constructed.
- We have seen some TAP alerts come in days after the email has been delivered.
- It saves email administrators countless hours investigating threats.
- It saves users many hours by identifying the threat even after a malicious email as been delivered.
