Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Propel is our core Quality Management System software tool. We use it for engineering and document changes, audits, corrective and preventive actions, supplier management, nonconformances, equipment maintenance and calibration, and regulatory license management.
  • Reporting and dashboards
  • Customizable workflows
  • Training management
  • Back-end management of training requirements can be cumbersome
  • Calibration and maintenance could use more automation of recurring requirements
Propel is a solid choice for any company currently using Salesforce and with the ability to manage a configurable system. It would not work well in cases where a company needs a lot of guidance to set up processes the way that they want. It has a fairly intuitive user interface, and adoption for less-tech-savvy employees is straightforward. Economically, it works better for companies with minimal "non-email" users, such as production floor personnel, since all users in the training system will have to have licenses.

Our company uses Propel to manage projects, record their revenue through each project's and campaign's life cycle, and to be able to see other affiliated data such as data split between product lines and modeling cost for marketing. Propel allows us to simulate the cost for running ads and fulfilling on a product idea and then determining if it is a viable path forward.

Propel is well suited for our newsletter and publishing business and there were not any improvements that I can think of as our use case is fairly simple. We use Propel to model marketing campaigns we desire to launch, to determine their market fit and marketing cost vs. their revenue potential for different versions of the campaign. This is a very valuable use case for us as it allows several of our teams to see the same data and be informed.

Our company needed to understand the impact of product changes on our customers, partners, and channels. Through Propel's project management, we can now monitor how changes to our products affect our customers. Moreover, Propel PLM lets us gather ideas from our customers, partners, and employees to capture specific customer requirements when bringing our products to the market.
  • Offers full PLM capabilities on my mobile phone.
  • Greater flexibility to manage other customer facing processes.
  • Customer service is very fast.
  • Lack of flexibility with exports and reports.
  • Salesforce has limitations on the page layouts which is not a major issue.
Propel PLM has helped us to determine our product requirements for different markets, regions, or product lines. In addition, it works with our customers to review, update and approve their requirements for our products, hence we can be able to see how changes to our commitments and products impact our milestones.

We use it as a source of product dashboards for our internal team. Helps our executive team keep up to date with our data analytics and make sure we are on track to hitting our quarterly goals. The nice thing is that it removes some of the technical challenges of our senior leadership and gives them understandable data to help make strategic decisions.
  • Clean UI
  • Easy to Access
  • User friendly
  • Customization for development
  • Pricing
  • Some features can be found in other products for cheaper.
The best scenario has been easy implementation that has given our leadership team access to our reports. It does have some lack of customization that my development team could build out a bit better. At the end of the day, it comes down to cost and we're willing to have our devs work on more interesting projects than being purely customizable.

Propel is used to manage the product lifecycles in our organization. We set categories for each item so that we can properly autonumber it and then track where it is used in various products across our product offerings. We can also easily identify specific items that can be used as alternates or substitutes so that if we run into any supply chain issues, we can locate additional substitute components to use if we have them available. We can also use Propel for our training needs to ensure that our employees are properly trained on all of the products we offer, any changes that are made to the makeup of those products, annual safety training, etc.
  • BOM Management
  • Usability
  • Integrations to ERP
  • Training offerings
  • Easier overall management/configuration
  • More automation between Propel and Salesforce
If you're already using another solution like Arena, Agile, or another smaller-named tool, Propel is just as capable. The big benefit is that Propel sits inside of Salesforce, which is a huge benefit in that users only need to go to one place for multiple different activities. If you're already using Salesforce this is a great opportunity to bring your PLM or QMS workflows into the fold. If you haven't used Salseforce before Propel will get everything configured for you and train you on how to use the system.

Propel is an excellent tool to be used in a variety of ways which are listed below :
1. Very customizable as it's built on Salesforce.
2. Excellent customer support feature.
3. It's a single-track platform that is a natural fit to harmonize the product in a better way.
4. Electronic OMS system is the best use case that it solved.
  • OMS electronic system is very useful for the product layout problems and use cases.
  • System is very customizable and user friendly.
  • Rich set of configurable standards that are up to the mark in the current scenario.
  • Customer support is very useful when user gets stuck anywhere.
  • Some of the platform issues and releases are still there which affect business operations.
  • Reporting option could be made better with Excel or Word.
  • Preview functionality is discouraging and needs to be addressed.
Scenario in which Propel is best on the grounds are :
1. Customer support is very enriching and helpful.
2. OMS electronic system is best part of it.
3. Salesforce platform is very user friendly.

Scenario in which it needs improvement:
1. Platform releases sometimes affect business operation.
