  • Seamless integration really takes the big screen.
  • Speed on the vCenter cluster storage backend really was something everybody should have.
  • The simplicity on getting deployed on a single work day is awesome.

  • We basically handed off support to Pure themselves so that already frees up a lot of our engineers' time.
  • The contract was based on the previous storage solution, so Pure had to throw in some extra storage for free which obviously adds value to the solution.

  • Initial procurement costs were high, but it was expected since we were replacing all of our storage arrays at all the datacenters. Pure was very aggressive in pricing to make sure we were able to replace our environment with enough space to grow

  • The most positive impact has been the predictability of support costs beyond the 3-year mark. One year of EMC support after year 5 on our previous array was more expensive than THREE YEARS on our Pure Storage M20 (now and M50) array, AND it included the new controllers at the beginning of year 4.
  • Reduction in power consumption for heating/cooling of the data center as well as general power just to run the array has also been a massive improvement since moving to all-flash with Pure.

  • The level of data reduction that we saw with our VDI workloads exceeded expectations and brought down the per/GB cost of the disk even lower than anticipated, resulting in greater cost savings over our previous storage solution.
  • Better visibility to our workload in terms of performance, growth, etc.
  • Evergreen controller upgrade was performed with zero downtime and extended the useful life of our system.

  • We can run more VMS and containers with better performance than on our previous SANs.
  • We can utilize more databases, especially replicated, as the dedup and compression are amazing.
  • We spend less time managing the SAN than ever before.

  • Implementation of this array has greatly increased our database performance, along with all VM performance overall. This increased I/O performance has been a great improvement for our line of business applications.

  • Moving from a NetApp NFS (HDD) back end VM storage repositories, we were able to dramatically reduce our hardware footprint while replacing with faster and better storage.
  • Flash storage has increased the stability of our entire environment as a whole and the FlashArray has dramatically reduced the amount of time and effort required to maintain the storage environment in particular.
