We use QQCatalyst to maintain client information, policies, forms and save documents.
  • Excellent user interface
  • Easy-to-read information
  • Provides good overview of the agency's active book
  • Actually listen to users and really take suggestions in how to improve
  • Use policy information from other existing policies or lines of insurance
  • Allow the system to be customized by the user, to suit the user's needs
I used NowCerts and also HawkSoft. QQCatalyst is just easier to navigate, process changes, send certificates of insurance and just get policy information. HawkSoft is a good system but their niche is personal lines. I can create Premium Finance Companies and MGA's with QQCatalyst and NowCerts, not with HawkSoft. QQCatalyst and NowCerts are 100% cloud based. If you have a lot of personal lines clients, then QQCatalyst is not a good option. QQCatalyst needs to update the Acord 25 form in their system so we can actually use all the spaces provided by the Acord company; right now we cant enter information for insurance company "F" anywhere using QQCatalyst.
  • Client Maintenance
  • Ease of Use
  • Cloudbased
  • It has helped maintain easy access to our clients information
HawkSoft is good for personal lines, but it can be very tedious to enter all information for each policy. QQCatalyst is better suited for Commercial lines than HawkSoft. As of the date of this review.

QQCatalyst is the backbone of our agency and is utilized to store all our client data. In terms of CRM options for insurance agencies in the marketplace QQCatalyst had the most appealing price point, reporting features, and the stability of Vertafore behind it.
  • Reporting
  • Carrier download abilities
  • Pre-fill accord apps
  • Excellent search feature
  • Marketing platform needs work
  • Inability to fill multiple accords at the same time
  • Email from QQCatalyst could use some work
  • No invoicing feature
For a small agency and start-up agencies QQCatalyst is an excellent choice. For larger agencies (10-15+ agents) I'd suggest looking at some of the bigger management systems such as AMS360.
  • Efficient client management with the carrier download functions
  • Easy to export data allowing us to drill down into our book of business & future marketing opportunities
  • Affordable
When I started looking at management systems I first looked at AMS360 since it's the Cadillac of management systems. However, it's a hefty upfront investment and the monthly is steep for a start-up agency. At that time EZlynx just had their rater platform however when they came out with the management platform a year or so later we strongly considered making the switch. EZlynx is an excellent management system but given the price to transfer data from one platform to the other we decided not to proceed. Lastly HawkSoft has gone through quite a few changes over the year and though they've really beefed up the backend I'm still not a fan of the user interface.

All three systems are excellent options, really boils down to preference and affordability which is why we went with QQCatalyst as it fit the bill across the board.
