Good for selling stock items...not so much for customized items.QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions is being used for both accounting functions and material management for our LED lighting manufacturing business. We use it to keep track of open and closed orders, as well as to invoice our customers for products shipped to them. It is also used to keep track of open and closed purchase orders to our suppliers, as well as inventory tracking and management.,Reports can be modified and filtered to provide specific information. They can also be exported into Excel for further formatting and filtering. It is fairly user friendly, with a flowchart on the home page to show how estimates turn into orders and then invoices, among other business functions. It is quite forgiving with input errors, allowing one to access already saved data (orders, invoices, etc.) and change it without a lengthy process of backing out previous info and re-entering new info. The toolbar at the top of the screen can be customized to include the functions that one uses most, avoiding the process of selecting a tab and scrolling down to the needed option. One can also personalize how the tab/enter buttons function, as well as date formatting, decimal points, and default scripts for invoices, statements, purchase orders, etc. One can also integrate their established email address to be used through QuickBooks.,QuickBooks was built to be an accounting program. It is clumsy with inventory. The reports for inventory management are limited. The inventory management system functions better for a company that just buys items and then resells them. Purchasing multiple materials and then combining them to be a finished good is possible to do, but needs more hands-on involvement than should be necessary. The minimum and maximum reorder points do not function properly. If one has both entered into an item, QuickBooks uses the maximum reorder point only, and ignores the minimum reorder point entirely. I have taken to using only the minimum reorder point and not even entering the maximum into the item.,9,Our manufacturing company mainly provides made-to-order LED lighting. QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions makes the inventory process very cumbersome as every line item has to be "built" manually. This is very time consuming and probably costs our company about $700-$800 in wages per month for this to be completed. There is a "1099 Wizard" that can be used in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. This allows our bookkeeper to process the 1099-MISC forms for our subcontractors each year, rather than paying our accountant to do it, which cost us about $250-$300 the last year that he did it.,Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat DC,3,1,Enter open orders from customers to track their due dates and back orders. Invoice customers for products shipped to them. Prepare Purchase Orders to send to vendors for additional materials. Track due dates, late shipments, and reorder points. Enter receivables and maintain the company checking account(s). Prepare and print yearly 1099-MISC forms. Enter invoices from suppliers and prepare and send accounts payable checks.,By formatting reports, I have been able to determine which specific items have been sold most in order to better manage materials for those items. By formatting the templates for Sales Orders, Work Orders, and Packing Slips I have been able to not only add additional fields onto the forms, but also have specified which info prints on which forms, making them more efficient. By using the "Customer Type" field to enter a 2-digit state abbreviation, I can sort my customers by state for reports about sales territories. By modifying what filters are used on reports, I can take a general report about all of our customers or items and dial it in to just one customer or item, making a huge and unwieldy report into a very specific one.,Adding more products to the item list. Reviewing and updating our minimum reorder points for better ordering time frames. Revising Bills of Materials as new assembly items are introduced.,9,No,Price Product Features Product Usability Prior Experience with the Product,I might have looked at other software programs, but probably would have chosen QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions in the end anyway.,Implemented in-house,No,Change management was a minor issue with the implementation,Getting the program downloaded onto a remote server. Making sure everyone could connect to the remote server, and therefore, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions.,8,Yes,9,Yes,I was having issues with my Intuit Data Protect not running on a daily basis. I was having to do manual backups, which was time consuming and should have been unnecessary. The first time I called about it, the rep said that they had fixed it, but they had not. The second time that I called, that rep not only figured out what the issue was, but fixed it, and then waited on the phone until the backup was completed. While we were waiting for the backup to be completed, I realized that I had another long standing issue that I had just given up on, and mentioned it to the rep. They then proceeded to fix that major issue as well. After everything was fixed, I had been on the phone with the rep for over 4 hours! At no point did they get irritated that it was taking so long, or that the first couple of things they tried didn't resolve the issue. They just persevered and got everything fixed.,Check writing and reconciliation. Entering and paying invoices from suppliers. It's easier to find an existing item that is close to the new item, duplicate it, and then change the parts that are different from the original. Doing a new item from scratch is very time consuming. QuickBooks is our main accounting software where we create, issue credit memos and invoices. Daily sales reports are generated out of QuickBooks. We also use QB for our payables to vendors.,QuickBooks makes paying vendors really easy. QuickBooks makes memorized transaction very easy to record every month. Pulling Daily sales numbers is really easy. You can customize the report according to your needs.,If we could upload transactions to QuickBooks it would save a ton of time. Our QuickBooks freezes up at times and is slow at times. Also maybe a way to track inventory.,10,The software has increased employee efficiency. Lowered the number of mistakes i.e. vendors being paid twice. Also helps not duplicate invoices, credits or bills.,,10Quickbooks Enterprise - A Consultant's PerspectiveQuickBooks was used as an accounting tool across our business. In addition it was also one of the primary products we recommended and resold to our small/medium size business customers. It did a great job of helping keep track of revenue targets and at integrating with our operations software.,Allows you to easily track all customers and vendors. Enhances data entry to be faster and easier. Allows for purchase and sales orders to be created quickly and easily. Accurate Reporting,Integration support with 3rd party applications is not the best. Intuit has shifted more toward Quickbooks Online and has left some of the desktop components behind. For more complex system integration using development tools that allow for data manipulation without using the SDK support is lacking entirely.,9,Better customer service. Easier identification of key customers. Increased employee efficiency. Better integration with operations software than other accounting platforms.,,10QuickBooks the Enterprise SoftwareI have several clients on Enterprise edition and it works really well in most situations. The trick with QuickBooks of any edition is knowing the work around entries necessary for some transactions. However, all accounting programs have their limitations but that is improving each year. I have two home building contractors, and a manufacture in QuickBooks and it seems to work well enough for them currently. Of course QuickBooks does have an inventory add-on should we need it. Overall I am quite satisfied with the product, but that does not mean I stopping looking at other software that maybe a better fit for my clients.,I like being able to attach documents in QuickBooks Downing loading of bank transactions works well I like the graphic user interface with the desk top edition I like that I can use one Enterprise edition to support more than client at a time. Like that my clients with multiple companies do not have to purchase multiple QuickBooks,Inventory is still a weakness unless you purchase the inventory add-on Needs to be fewer work around processes You can no longer purchase the desktop version,10,It is still the most used small to midsized business software Fairly easy to learn even for task oriented employees Works well for my clients so far,,10,All my clients,3,3,Client support Client retention It is what my clients want,I am not sure as we address issues as they come up, find a solution and move on. I do not call that often as there are very few issues I cannot deal with. Support has always been courteous and kind to me since I can be technically challenged at times. I tell them I was born in BC - Before Computers.,Bank reconciliations are simple Accounts payable is a easy to use function Accounts receivable is a easy to use function,Construction draws Change orders Inventory depending on the client need,Yes, but I don't use it,10Best Accounting Software for Nonprofits...not too expensive and a great tool to keep track of finances! We use QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions for our small trade association and there are two of us that use it. I'm the administrator and our bookkeeper uses it on a daily basis. It's used for all our financial reporting, banking and we recently started using it to process credit cards for the first time last year.,It's user friendly which makes it easy to teach someone how to use the basic features. Many nonprofit agencies tend to use QuickBooks so I like that it uses language that nonprofits use. For instance, you can use one chart of accounts and use classes or categories to track different programs or events. You can have two company files open at once which is great if you're trying to compare data between the two.,We use their Payment Network which basically allows our customers to pay online with a credit card. It's worked great except that we thought we could use it with more than one bank account. Only after we sent out invoices, did we realize this which caused us to have to transfer funds between two different bank accounts. I had to call the QuickBooks support to clear it up but it never said anywhere that you could only use one bank account at a time. Also, something else is that the Payment Network does not tie into any of the event registration software that we use which means we can't have them pay directly into our account. We have to first invoice our customers and on the invoice is a link to the payment network that is tied to that invoice. Tracking employee leave time (sick and vacation) has always been an issue for as long as I've been using QuickBooks. There have been times when it has not taken off vacation from the overall total even though it's coded as vacation on the paycheck. We just use a separate Excel spreadsheet to track the actual amount.,8,Better monthly financial reports for our board of directors. It has given our customers/members an easy way to pay for things online with the Payment Network (which does cost extra). And it's great because their payments get downloaded directly into QuickBooks and there is no double entry of data. Plus we don't have to take anyone's credit card information. Has helped us keep track of one of our grants and is easy to pull reports from which save us time.,,10Great Stepping Stone to Other QB EditionsQuickBooks Enterprise Solutions is being used by my company as a backup that we can reference when there are financial questions from 2 or more years ago. It is only used by my department since we handle all of the accounting and financial functions across the organization. It helps us answer questions we receive today about previous transactions and checks. We have lots of independent contractors who write for us, so some people only get 1 or 2 checks from us while others get checks regularly for years. Since it’s impossible to remember everyone, using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions when questions arise is great. It’s simple, user-friendly, and has all the usual functions that any other QuickBooks version has. I use it to pull reports, look up old checks, and even assist people who have questions about old 1099s.,Everything is labeled really simply so you know exactly what each function is for. The layout is user-friendly. You don't have to use every single module or function available to benefit from having it.,I wish there was flexibility to change the layout so that I don't see items that I don't use like payroll. It's not the most attractive edition.,5,It let us see how inefficient some of our processes are since we use so many different programs across the orgnization. It has helped make our customer service better since we are able to answer questions about old payments to our vendors' satisfaction.,QuickBooks Online,2Quickbooks appropriate for small firmsWe use QuickBooks in the accounting department. Our organization uses it mainly for fund and management company accounting. It keeps us organized.,One can have two companies open at the same time. We have many entities and it helps when comparing the inter-company expenses. The opening of second company and the switching between them is seamless which is a plus. I like the fact that we can password protect audited years. For example, if we would like to close a year, it is easy to do and we can password protect. Just in case we attempt enter a journal entry in a closed year (by mistake), we get an alert that the year is closed and we need to enter the password to proceed. This helps with errors I particularly like the duplicate invoice option. This saves a lot of time!,QuickBooks crashes often. I don't know if it's because I might be doing work rather quickly but it crashes. Although I called customer support with the problem and it has gotten better. The naming option for scanned documents needs to be updated. I would like to use / sometimes I forget that this is not allowed and I then need to try to find the scanned item in the appropriate folder. I would like to cut individual checks to the same vendor and I am not allowed to do that. I need to cut one check, and then go back in and cut the other. There should be an option to allow me to group or itemize check payments.,7,For our company, the positive impact is that it has kept us organized. It's easy to run reports and group information which decreases turnaround time thus increasing productivity. A negative is that tracking who created or edited certain things you will find out after a few clicks. It won't show up under the journal entry for example.,,9QuickBooks Is Great! We used QuickBooks' Enterprise Solutions as our main accounting platform. It was used for paying bills, entering AR, reconciling bank statements, etc. We used it to produce month end and year end financial statements as well as other Ad-Hoc reports that were needed. The product was not used in other departments across the organization.,Managing AR and cutting checks Producing basic financial statements and reports needed to reconcile accounts Bank reconciliations,AR module. Depending how you entered your AR (JE's vs Bills) applying payments can sometimes be difficult Advanced Reporting,8,Accuracy of Financial Statements Timing of Data Entry Increase Efficiency Better Customer Service,,8Unspecified

We've been using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions from when the business started, 11 years ago. I don't see us changing programs any time soon as it is working pretty well for us now. It would be extremely time consuming to start from scratch with a new accounting or inventory management program.

We are not likely to renew our use of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions because we use QuickBooks 2013 now. It was a nice stepping stone to our current edition but 2013 is easier on the eyes and even more easy to navigate. I also like that the functions I don't use are smaller and can be ignored more easily.

We will renew every year from here on. The company has been making a lot of improvements to the program that I enjoy such as scanning of backup to A/P, Journal Entry etc. QuickBooks is the right program for us at the moment.

Assuming I have the opportunity to work for a company that would be able to use QuickBooks, I will jump at the opportunity to use the platform again. Currently, the company I work for us using a different system just based on the level of transactions and QuickBooks not being able to have an import feature.
