We use QuickBooks Online Advanced for all our accounting and financial management needs, including vendor and customer/donor records, accounts payables, payable tracking, bank reconciliation, cash management, financial reporting, annual budgeting and YOY key financial metrics comparisons.

Before implementing into QuickBooks Online, we hired a third-party bookkeeping firm to manage our accounting and financial records, but encountered many issues, including making errors not caught by the previous accounting team. Once moved the functions in house, things have been smooth and the annual audit process and result have been great. Thanks QuickBooks Online!
  • Having unlimited Class, so we can use the classes to track projects balances and transactions.
  • Can allow more users to manage the same books
  • Link directly to bank accounts and receive transactions records on real time.
  • Don't like the new format of the reports, having to always select the classic views
  • Hope the QuickBooks Online Advanced can create/improve its module for non-profit organizations, such as the financial statements layouts.
What I think the QuickBooks Online Advanced is well suited:
1) Easy to use and effective to navigate while satisfying our financial and accounting functions' needs
2) We upgraded the version from the QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Online Advanced is solely for the unlimited classes that we use to track the different projects/programs that are essential to our non-profit organization.

  • No quantitative impact, but it implements our internal control and standard procedures, and ensure all our records are in compliance and meet the requirements for the annual audit process which is essential to our non-profit organization.
The set up was quite easy. I took some online training causes, and figured our the rest pretty quickly. The only issue I had during the implementation process was it was very hard to change some of the GL Account name to reflect the needs of a non-profit organization, such as Net Assets. At the end I had to scratch what I did, and used the existing formats that the third-party bookkeeping firm shared. Everything else is simple and easy to manage and implement.
We had the experience of multiple employees using from different locations, actually from different countries, and it has been smooth and effective. We can assign different levels of user permission to different employees and we can check the activities of each user for certain time frame when we found out an issue and made sure involved employees received appropriate trainings.
It addresses our business needs nicely. We are a small non-profit organization. Our needs for managing the accounting and financial records and reports are simple but the accuracy requirement is high, so we need to relay on an tool to ensure highest level of accuracy in accounting and financial data with minimized risks of losing or damaged data. QuickBooks Online Advanced fit the requirements nicely.
Quickbooks online advanced is much simple and easier to use, so it fits better to the ticket of our small non-profit organization needs. The other options are either, or both, more pricy and complicated than the QuickBooks Online Advanced. For example, the implementation for QuickBooks Online Advanced was simple enough for me to do so in-house with training courses available and phone calls to a customer service representative or implementation expert accessible.

I handle the company's accounting and bookkeeping, I register bills, match bank transactions through the feeds to have with our different banks, we also have integrated with Tipalti and WooCommerce. I create invoices and send them through QuickBooks Online. I generate financial reports, create recurring transactions for amortizations and depreciation. Something that I would like to see is to be able to import CSV files for large journal entries, so far I haven't seen that feature. I like the availability there is for training and certification, which I'm definitely looking forward to. I like how is easy to use, how it can connect to vendors and customers through every type of document that you create and how easily I can track transactions and run reports. Reconciliations a greatly fast given the match transaction options, which takes away the struggle for period closing. Overall I love this software and definitely recommend it.

It is well suited for AR and AP management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. I don't have experience yet in payroll or 1099 tracking but I've seen the option which is great whenever we consider using it. Transaction reports are very easy to generate and overall the system is very user-friendly.

I personally wasn't with the company at the time of implementation, but when I started, I've already had some experience with Quickbooks Desktop which made it easier to settle in. Nonetheless, it was really easy to pick up the pace with this program since it is very easy to use and understand.
So far it's been great, I mean the company is located in the United States, but as the Accountant, I live in the Dominican Republic and geolocation has never been an issue for me to connect and use it. The experience has been great, I've been able to use all the features with no issues.
For our specific industry, there's nothing that I could pinpoint, but for the things that we need like inventory tracking for our merch and transaction management overall it has been great. Also, the financial reporting is very easy and the dashboard is really helpful, although I wish they had more financial indicator features to generate more charts and compare with the industry we're in.
I have used it in other places I've worked with Microsoft Dynamics GP, but I know this is a more complicated one, and unlike QuickBooks, it manages each module (AR, AP, Finance, Purchasing) separately, like the connection between modules is not as easy as it is in QuickBooks Online. That's why I like this program so much.

QuickBooks Online Advanced has helped us effectively record and manage all our financial transactions quickly and professionally. Rather than using multiple spreadsheets, QuickBooks Online Advanced has all the materials in one place. The reason we use QuickBooks Online Advanced is to experience if the software is as great as others said. So far, they did not disappoint us.

I love QuickBooks Online Advanced. Even though I have only started using the software, it has definitely helped me record and managed my finance effectively and efficiently. With the help of the training process, it was extremely easy to set up and use the QuickBooks Online Advanced. I was a little confused at first, however, when I went through the training process, setting up the software is like a breeze. After getting a hang of it, using QuickBooks Online Advanced is like the most basic and required software everyone should have.
QuickBooks Online Advanced has allowed employees from all over the place to use the software if needed which helps the organization grow effectively. When only one employee has access to it, other employees that need to update or need access to the QuickBooks Advanced may face troubles that could negatively affect the organization.
When the business has an issue, the customer service for the QuickBooks Online Advanced quickly answer and tried to address it. Even though it may take two to three days for the customer service personnel to answer you, they would try to help resolve the complications as quickly as possible.
I have not used other accounting and finance software for the business. I usually use an Excel spreadsheet to record all my transactions. However, it was sometimes chaos. Therefore, when my supervisor encouraged us to use the QuickBooks Online Advanced, I was extremely impressed with what it could do and how it could help us.

We use this program for AP/AR/Inventory and Payroll. It is pretty user friendly for the most part. Has some speed issues and oddities occasionally. Running reports can sometimes be difficult. Does not always transfer to excel well. You may have to add your own formulas to get totals and such. This has allowed us to stay organized and on track with our budgets after some tweaking/customizing of the reports.

Works great for our small company. Can utilize the program from anywhere. And we can quickly get accurate numbers. Option to print reports or download them is a nice feature. Creating your own report can be a little tricky, but saving it for future use is easy. YOu can share your create or customized reports with others or not share if that is what you choose.

  • Gives us more time to do other things - just need to accurately enter - but can fix anything
  • We use the payroll option which is nice to utilize one program for two aspects of our business. No need to journal entry payroll, the system does it automatically. No need to remote in as you can log in from again.
Set up was super easy. I did it from home on a weekend. It walks you through ever step, but allows you to go back and make changes if needed. We did not receive any training, however that would have been a nice feature. Payroll was more difficult to set up until I called and found out they would set it all up for free due to the package we subscribe to. It would have been nice if they would have reached out to use to offer this service.
This aspect makes it easy to log in from anywhere on the road, at home or other locations. No need to remote into a "base" computer or network. This feature allowed us to seamlessly transition to remote working when COVID first hit. I have prepared worked and prepared payroll from our hotel room in Walt Disney world in the past. Which is was a nice and easy option. Being a smaller company we do not have backup employees.
I do not feel it is industry specific. We use specific industry programs for other aspects of our business, but those do not accomplish what QB does. QB is very specific and I fell it will meet most companies accounting needs.

I believe our level of subscription comes with premium support. Once you learn how to submit a support ticket it takes no time to get a call back. Usually within a minute or two I am receiving a call back. Everyone once and awhile there is an an issue with the call back. Call back is received but no in there. That is rare but has happened a few times. Normally, call back is quick and most reps are very friendly.
