We use QuickBooks POS for our store front purchases as well as when we attend different events and shows where customers have the ability to purchase our products from us directly. The QuickBooksPOS is a direct connection to QuickBooks Desktop but built around retailers like ourselves.
  • Retail Purchases
  • Credit Card Processing
  • Inventory Lookup
  • Barcode Scanning
  • We have not seen any area where we would like to see QuickBooks POS improve.
If you run a retail store, or need to setup a retail store quickly and QuickBooks is your Acounting software of chouice, their POS System is a perfect choice. Given the fact that they are both interconnected and created and maintained by Intuit, it's a no brainer solution.
  • Barcode Scanning
  • Inventory Lookup
  • Special Pricing
  • We don't have any measurable ROI with regards to QuickBooks POS, but it definitely makes it easier to train new employees, and process customer orders quickly.
I feel like all of these products have their own advantages and disadvantages. I feel though that QuickBooksPOS is especially beneficial when paired with QuickBooks Accounting Software creating a combination paired from a single vendor as opposed to multiple vendors and managing integrations that may or not break between release cycles.

We are an Intuit Reseller and support clients converting to the system from all sorts of other POS systems. Like DOS, and some other rudimentary ones they simply cannot get what they need out of those other systems. Some people simply really like the desktop version of just about anything, including POS.

  • Checking out customers

They are very well suited for the I502 industry here where marijuana is legal. They need a very intricate POS and inventory system and the suppliers of the dirt, lights and everything else needed also love using QuickBooksPOS. It also works well for places that are ok with having a computer be the POS.
  • Hit Sales Goals
  • Less downtime
  • Data review
QuickBooksPOS is the only desktop version of the type of program. The reporting is on a complete other level compared to these cloud technologies. Inventory and ingredient breakdowns are some things that you cannot find in a user-friendly system, which QuickBooksPOS does lack.
