Raken has received high praise from its users for its unlimited data storage space and effective cloud management, making it a reliable tool for engineering and construction projects. Field teams have found Raken to be an invaluable resource in simplifying the process of obtaining detailed project field reports. Foremen are able to track day-to-day activities and effortlessly update team members, ensuring everyone is up to date on project progress. The platform also enables the tracking and logging of crucial information such as daily progress photos, subcontractor crew sizes, and hours worked. This feature keeps all team members and upper management well-informed about job progress. In addition, Raken is widely used by field operations teams to monitor subcontractor progress, safety reporting, job site progress, weather conditions, and daily events. Superintendents utilize Raken to complete their daily reports, which are then shared with the entire company for easy access to job site progress and subcontractor hours. By eliminating the need for paper reporting, Raken allows field teams to take pictures and add notes throughout the day and finalize their reports at the end of the day or week. This not only saves time but also helps in keeping accurate records of man-hours, daily logs, and progress photos for each job. Companies like HPS appreciate Raken's user-friendly interface as it helps them keep track of all their jobs in one place without the hassle of juggling multiple platforms. Additionally, superintendents rely on Raken to send daily reports to project clients and owners, ensuring that work is completed properly and on time. The efficient photo and information sharing capabilities of Raken further save time and money by reducing the need for physical visits to every job site. Overall, Raken proves to be a valuable tool that streamlines reporting processes, enhances communication among team members, provides valuable insights into job progress, and improves efficiency in the construction industry.

All of our field workers mainly use Raken. They keep track of man-hours, daily logs, and pictures of the progress on each job. Raken helps HPS keep track of all our jobs in one easy to use interface. The software is reasonably priced and very simple to use.
  • Keep track of daily reporting
  • Send reports and updates to other members of the project
  • Production tracking
  • Timecards
  • Sometimes the app will run slow or crash on the guys in the field. It doesn't happen too often though.
  • An easier way to download all project Daily Reports at one time.
Raken is a great way to keep track of the day to day work being done on the job site. It's especially good at keeping all members of the project on the same page and all updated with the most current information on the job. Photos help assist office personnel and Project Managers of the progress on the job site.
  • Increased productivity
  • Easier communication
  • Faster than using any type of paper forms
We use both software. Procore, we just recently switched over to. It is a compelling program, but just at a higher price point. Raken is a more affordable option, although they may not have exactly all the features that Procore has. But it does what it needs to pretty well.
Raken has an excellent support team. Raken are pretty prompt with getting back to you. Raken also has a convenient chat feature on their website. All their support members are friendly and are good at helping you understand and resolve your issues.

Raken is used by our field operations team to track subcontractor progress, hours, safety reporting, job site progress, weather, and other daily events. Our superintendents are required to complete 1 daily Raken report that is submitted to a shared folder where anyone in the company can view job site progress, subcontractor hours, etc. Raken solves the issue of using paper reporting for on-site team members. Our field teams can walk throughout the day and take pictures and add notes, then sit at the end of the day (or week) and finalize their report to submit. Once submitted it is easily accessible by others.
  • Great iPhone application - The application makes reporting and adding photos very easy.
  • It's easy to navigate different days and reports. Or to find keywords or subcontractors and when they performed work.
  • I hear some feedback from our field team that occasionally the application is slow or crashes on their devices.
Raken is great for any large or mid-size general contractor that collects the superintendent's daily reports. The clean, easy to navigate application is perfect for everyone, even the "old-school" superintendents that are not as tech-savvy. Having the ability to view different jobs across the company in one application as a PM is a great tool to have.
  • Raken definitely saves costly superintendent time and can be used as a tool to review dates, weather, etc. if a case is opened or an issue comes up that needs to be checked back on.
  • Raken is only as good as the data inputted into it. If your team does not use all of the functions you don't get a good product.
I'm used to seeing field operations employees use paper reporting for daily reports. I've seen some construction software companies incorporate daily reports but I haven't seen it yet where it is efficient and makes sense to use, most of the time it seems like an afterthought and is tacked onto the base product.
I've not interfaced with Raken support.

TTI is currently using Raken in the field on two projects. We are still getting familiar with the program.
  • Meets the daily requirements of construction paperwork getting into the office.
  • Attachments of the safety paperwork.
  • The time card can't be downloaded.
  • Would like time card template. Unaware if there is a time card template within the system.
The data is in real-time data. It allows us to transfer safety information to the home office, to subcontractors, and to the owner. Contractors get the subcontractor info in real-time.

Vista would be better suited for our accounting as it will download the payroll. Raken is not suitable/compatible with our software so payroll has to transfer data manually into the project management software.
  • Positive impact - Time management with real time data.
  • Positive impact - Safety documentation issued and tracked.
Vista is TTI's accounting software program. It is extremely well suited for the construction projects.

Team, which is similar to Raken, is more advance however the program is also more expensive.
The customer service is excellent. They send webinar to watch and material to read to keep you informed.

All of our superintendents use Raken for our daily reports. The reports are sent to our project clients and owner to ensure work is being completed properly and on time. Because it’s so simple to use, all our employees fill out the reports and get them sent in regularly. The photos and information prevent having to constantly go out to every job site. It saves us time and money.
  • Automation
  • Daily reports
  • Access to past projects for admin
  • How reports are exported
Raken is well suited for when you have multiple smaller (~$1-3M) projects at one time and want to keep track of everything happening on site. Raken is good for projects up to about $5M or so. The simple interface makes it incredibly easy to use, but I see the simplicity being an issue for larger projects when you need more information.
  • Less need to travel to each job site.
  • Automated emailed reports to clients reduces the number of meetings/conversations about what is happening on the project.
