ReachMail is a versatile platform used by organizations to distribute newsletters, event announcements, and other notifications to their supporters and stakeholders. Many users have found it to be easy, intuitive, and top of the line for sending newsletters. Its convenience extends beyond email with the ability to share content across an organization's social media presence. ReachMail is not only useful for communication within an organization but also for reaching out to external audiences. For example, sales departments utilize it to send mass emails to numerous cold prospects at once, making it easier to find potential leads. ReachMail is comparable to other popular mass email tools like HubSpot and Mailchimp in terms of its effectiveness.

One organization that has benefitted greatly from ReachMail is Aon Affinity's interactive marketing team. They leverage the platform to deploy multi-wave email marketing campaigns and generate business for their life and health insurance solutions. With hundreds of thousands of recipients to stay in contact with on a weekly basis, ReachMail has proven to be the fastest and most cost-effective way for Aon Affinity to achieve this goal. Moreover, the knowledgeable customer support provided by ReachMail has been invaluable in guiding non-technical users through the platform.

Legal service providers have also found value in using ReachMail as a means of reaching out to referral partners and former clients with informative postings. By utilizing this platform, they can invite consumers and business owners to webinars and offer marketing services. The challenge of communicating with large contact lists is addressed by ReachMail, enabling users to see results and make adjustments for better engagement. Furthermore, the marketing department benefits from ReachMail's ability to professionally communicate promotions, education, and customer service on behalf of various clients and business units.

Overall, ReachMail serves as a reliable solution for organizations across various industries who seek an efficient way to distribute emails, reach large contact lists, engage potential customers, and communicate effectively with internal teams or external audiences.

Reachmail is currently used across the whole organization for newsletters, event, and announcement distributions. It fills in the gaps to reach supporters and stakeholders who may not use other social media, who may have missed other media posts, and who may need multiple notification media reminders. It is also a very convenient platform for sharing across the organization's social media presence.
  • Survey building as part of free accounts. A good alternative to Google Docs and other online survey builders.
  • Image library. Generous storage space as part of free accounts.
  • Content and assets. Free storage space for docs and links.
  • Email templates' visual appeal isn't as eye-catching as other platforms like Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, especially basic newsletter formats.
  • Free accounts have access to 70 templates, which is adequate and they can be modified, but specialized templates, such as holidays, are very limited.
  • Unless one has formatting experience with online templates, altering cell, row, column, and table blocks can be pretty frustrating. Save drafts often!
  • Adjusting text and background color choices can be tricky.
  • ReachMail video instructions are pretty good, but online help search tool doesn't offer much depth.
The free Reachmail account (which I have used for several small organizations) is a good tool where there are limited or zero email marketing dollars, a contact audience of up to 5,000 subscribers, and a max of 15,000 monthly emails. The pricing levels are really reasonable for volume requirements, including custom plans for infrequent mailings. If there are constraints (time and/or design experience) that require a large choice of ready-made contemporary templates without graphic or font modifications, then this probably isn't a good email marketing tool.
  • Enhanced target audience reach for fundraising events, a definite positive.
  • Detailed metrics reporting on opens and click-throughs, for refining target audiences, a definite positive.
  • Increased Facebook audience as a result of Reachmail campaigns, a definite positive.
  • No negative impacts on business objectives.

Constant Contact: Program marketing dollars disallowed when organization was absorbed by another entity, so Reachmail's free account was chosen to replace for localized target audiences. Constant Contact is visually more appealing and has more ready-to-use templates, but Reachmail has larger contact base, bigger graphic and doc storage capacity than did the paid Constant Contact account. MailChimp: MailChimp's drag and drop template designer is easier to use than Reachmail's formatting tools. Reachmail was not selected by this client in lieu of MailChimp.
  • Creating an email from scratch rather than using one of the ready-to-use templates.
  • Creating a survey form.
  • Managing image library.
  • Managing contact lists.
  • Format changes to ready-to-use templates.
