What is Remember the Milk?
Remember the Milk is a task management and to-do list application from the company of the same name headquartered in San Francisco. Users enter task's properties in one line, including due date, priority, repeat, and tags. And then users get reminded by email, text, IM, Twitter, and mobile apps (Android, iOS, BlackBerry 10). Users can create as many tasks as required, and make lists both organized and colorful with tags.
Remember the Milk also allows subtasks. Subtasks break tasks down into smaller, more manageable pieces. Users can create any number of subtasks for a task, and those subtasks can have their own subtasks, too. Lists can be shared, and files can be shared with others through lists through integrations with Google Drive, and Dropbox.
Remember the Milk also provides a search wizard so users can more easily locate tasks. And its Smart Lists are special lists based on search criteria (e.g., high priority tasks due this week) to ensure the most important tasks are not missed, or tasks that are continually postponed are completed, or just to help the user look for some quick wins. The wizard features almost 50 different search operators.
Remember the Milk is available with apps for the web, Mac, Windows, Linux, Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Android phones & tablets, BlackBerry 10, and Fire. And while an integration with Zapier is featured, Remember the Milk also offers MilkScript, to make it easy to automate a wide variety of things—for example, creating tasks from templates, removing unused tags, generating task reports. The Basic plan is free, and the Pro Plan is available for $39.99 per year, and unlocks advanced features (e.g. advanced sorting and grouping, integrations with Zapier and MilkScript automation, subtasks, themes, tag colors, attachments, and priority support among other features.
