ResellerRatings is an online ratings site where consumers submit ratings and reviews of online retailers, and online retailers participate to respond to reviewers and to gather reviews from their customers post-purchase. As of July 11, 2017, ResellerRatings.com had over 6.2 million user-submitted reviews for 202,000 stores. Consumers use ResellerRatings to check the reputation of online stores before buying.

Our marketing team, specifically one to two members, is using ResellerRatings to collect website reviews. Our Customer Service Department also uses Reseller Ratings, but not directly. When we receive a negative review, the marketing department sends the review info to our Customer Service Team so they can contact the customer and resolve the problem.
  • Manually sending out review requests.
  • Easy implementation.

  • More in-depth reporting.
  • Easier way to respond to reviews, without opening a case.
So far, we've been very happy with ResellerRatings. Our seller reviews have decreased since we began using Reseller Ratings, BUT the quality of reviews has increased drastically. Previously, we were receiving one-word reviews, such as, "cool." Now, our customers are providing lengthy reviews that will actually help future customers make decisions and help us improve our business.

When choosing a review platform, we looked at a number of platforms. Reseller Ratings offered most of the things we were looking for at an affordable price. This easy to use platform doesn't have unnecessary bells and whistles.
Their support team is always available whenever we need help. They've offered to pull reports for us, even though we could easily pull them from the system ourselves.

ResellerRatings is one of the platforms that we use for our online reviews. This is used to gather reviews across all aspects of our company. This is important to us because cabinets are a very expensive purchase and ResellerRatings helps build brand authority and allows customers to feel safe when they read other positive experiences.

I think ResellerRatings is great for any company that is looking for a reasonably priced solution for gathering reviews online and building a strong online brand reputation.

ResellerRatings is a MUST when it comes to managing what people are saying about your company online. All companies, online and brick & mortar, need to be aware of where their customers who have issues, complains or kind words are speaking. If you care about the happiness of your customers, you need to monitor ResellerRatings to tend to those who use that platform as a method of communication between businesses and consumers.
  • ResellerRatings has the EASIEST interface for reviewing issues and their statuses
  • You can reply publicly or privately to reviews, most other platforms only offer public replies
  • Customers have an easy-to-find section to input their order number
  • Seller Ratings are available, but Product Reviews for your company shouldn't be part of a paid package.
  • Private/Public Replies should allow URLS to be clickable for ease-of-access.
  • The "Reports" feature could be explained in more depth.
Not just because it's my favorite review site to use because of it's interface and experience, but I genuinely believe that this is a site that every company should monitor. There are, what I would say are the big three and that's BBB, Consumer Affairs and ResellerRatings. Apart from your own website and Google, of course, you have Bizrate, Trustpilot, Yelp and more but we have always had a focus on RR.
  • Notifications of customer issues saved us thousands in potential order cancellations.
  • ResellerRatings offers and easy way for customers to contact us, apart from directly on our website.
  • Since RR posts both positive and negative feedback, consumers can get a real feel for how your company communicates with its customers.
Trustpilot is a bit of a cluttered environment and offers a limited way to contact your customers. It's sort of one of those outlying review sites that you need to check every couple of days for potential customer issues. Reseller's platform blows them out of the water and is much more widely used, at least in the field of custom window treatments. I would prefer to use RR any day.
I've never actually had an issue that I needed to contact anyone directly, they make it quite convenient to peruse the platform on your own. With the exception of some sections that could use a walk-through, like the "Reports" section of the site. Apart from that, there's nothing negative we can say about support.

We used ResellerRatings to collect product ratings as well as service ratings for our business. They have affordable plans as well as different tiers depending on companies using them.
  • Ease of use when it comes to managing the platform
  • ResellerRatings has an identifiable name, and consumers are keener to leave reviews on the site as its a recognizable name.
  • Pretty easy to send review requests from people that purchase directly through us using ResellerRatings.
  • Lack of features really hampers the platform and they are behind other companies.
  • ResellerRatings doesn't allow us to import reviews from other platforms.
  • Very little customization
If a colleague asked me for an easy to use seller review platform with little bells and whistles I would say go for reseller ratings, however, if they are established I would advise them against ResellerRatings as they were not able to import our reviews from other platforms.
  • The lack of being able to import our reviews really hurt us as it makes no sense to not be able to do that.
  • ResellerRatings helped us in getting more reviews and make our brand more noticeable and stand out more.
Compared to Yotpo, ResellerRatings has more favorable costs as they don't charge as much, especially Yotpo which is very expensive. However, you do get what you paid for as Yotpo and Trustpilot have more features and more options.
ResellerRatings support is pretty easy to get ahold of, and we usually got response within 24 hours.

Our marketing team uses Reseller Ratings to collect reviews about our online business applications so that we:
  1. can understand how our users feel about our websites and applications based on their quantitative rating and qualitative feedback
  2. can integrate our ratings with our other digital campaigns (such as email and pay per click)
  3. we can add reviews to our websites through pre-built widgets that Reseller Ratings provides which allows us to avoid custom development to integrate via APIs (which are also available, but more IT-support heavy)
  • Reseller Ratings provides easy to use widgets that can be embedded on our websites that show our aggregate rating and can also display a specific number of full reviews.
  • Reseller Ratings is a partner that integrates its review data with Google and easily allows us to incorporate star ratings with our Google paid search ads
  • Reseller Ratings also provides a simple to use and integrate review collection tool that can be implemented through tag management tools and doesn't require much (or any!) IT support
  • The Reseller Ratings business page that shows all of the reviews a business has received is a bit barebones and isn't the prettiest. It could be improved.
  • The widgets that are provided for embedding reviews on your website are serviceable, but they could be more configurable and/or have alternate display options.
  • The reporting interface is a bit confusing and it isn't the easiest to configure the reports you want to receive. I think the reporting is good, but the interface and help leaves a bit to be desired.
ResellerRatings is a good tool for collecting ratings and quantifying how satisfied a user is with your website. It is relatively easy to implement and get setup and does have some pre-built widgets for adding reviews to your site. ResellerRatings does require a bit of training to get the hang of the administrative interface and it does require support staff to monitor, flag, and respond to reviews that are submitted (which can be a challenge depending on # of reviews and staffing levels).
  • ResellerRatings has had a positive impact on ROI by allowing us to quickly gather user ratings/reviews and integrate the aggregate review with Google's paid search ads (via star ratings showing in ads)
  • ResellerRatings has also had a positive impact on our business by allowing us to collect reviews and display on our website without the need for internal development resources and IT work (which would have been very costly for us).
  • One thing we had wanted to accomplish through the use of ResellerRatings was to display reviews on our website and provide that detail to Google in a consumable format which would result in star ratings showing in our organic search results. However, we were not able to accomplish this and Google never picked up our rating from the ResellerRating's widgets, so that was a bit of a letdown.
