I am a project service officer for an electricity infrastructure company in Australia. We run dozens of projects at any one time with a mix of contractors and employees. Most of our workforce is not ‘experienced’ in the art of writing resumes, meaning that the challenge of parsing their data is hard and has caused many issues in the past with hiring. [Resume Parser by Affinda} has made it a lot better for us, in the short time we have been with them. Our hiring managers are much happier with the quality of the tool, we lose less time.

We evaluated four competing saas solutions, and after the evaluation we found that [Resume Parser by Affinda] scored best on quality, service and price, and was third best on speed. Wasn’t a hard choice.

The reason we have switched to Affinda is to drive more efficiencies in our business. We regularly re-evaluate our vendors.


We had not heard of Affinda before, but were sufficiently impressed in initial trials to ask them to participate in a head to head with our current vendor. While the quality was slightly better, what impressed us was their responsiveness to requests, and a better business model that offered more attractive commercial terms.

Affinda is especially appropriate for larger organisations, like ours with internal CRMs.

It has reduced the cost of resume data extraction, something that was previously a big headache. We have tested other tools in past years but the quality wasn’t enough to switch from doing it manually. Affinda is the first one we have tried where we have actually decided to commit to using a technology.

Affinda makes sense in bigger teams where you are dealing with lots of CVs. For smaller companies or low volumes I don't think it would make as much sense.

My team developed an application that helps job seekers improve their resumes and thus improve their chances of getting job interviews when they apply for jobs. My application needs a 3rd party resume parser to convert the document to structured data before my application can run the algorithms my team created. We chose Affinda as the resume parser after comparing it to 8 other resumes parsing APIs.
  • High accuracy compared to the other vendors.
  • Able to handle complex document formats.
  • Affinda team is very responsive to tune and customize the product to its customers' needs.
  • Resume Parser by Affinda is a few seconds slower than the other parsers I used (Part of this may just be due to propagation delay, considering my data center is halfway around the world). Regardless, for my needs, Affinda's accuracy outweighed the extra latency.
It is well suited for resumes in PDF or DOC/DOCX file format. I have not attempted it with other document formats.

This is a great tool to help identify candidates with the best attributes to fill open sales positions. Really increases the efficiency of going through all the resumes to find the ideal candidates. I have found this to be an effective way to go through a large number of candidate's resumes letting the platform gather the specific criteria that best matches our needs. Dramatically cuts down the time it takes to identify the best potential candidates for our sales team. I will continue to use this platform as it is easy and delivers great results.
