We use Revinate as an email service provider for our hotel clients. It helps us send timely, relevant and personalized email marketing campaigns that capture the attention of our hotel guests. We send promotional emails, automated emails, and use their reporting platform as well. It also has an upsell feature that we use heavily for our transactional email sends.

Revinate is a great platform for smaller-sized hotels who do not need the advanced functionalities of a larger ESP like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You do not need coding experience, but if you would like to custom-code your emails you can do so. The automation features leave room for improvement as does its reporting features.

Revinate is perfect for our small-to-medium sized hotel clients who do not need a more advanced ESP. If you have a larger client that needs more advanced features, I would suggest using Salesforce. If you require more in-depth reporting and automation features for a small to mid sized client, Mailchimp is also a great choice. I do not recommend TravelClick for any clients.

Hotel Sorrento uses Revinate to monitor our reviews and send out email campaigns to our email list. We are able to generate traffic with the marketing side of Revinate and keep track of feedback from our guests on the Reputation side.
  • The audience segmentation is excellent. I use this the most since I create targeted, segmented campaigns.
  • Ease of use if you have experience with other email platforms.
  • Analytics reporting.
  • The email design area is a little cumbersome at times.
  • I wish there was a way to create Landing Pages linked to automations like Mailchimp has, that I could then add to our website via HTML code or integration.
  • I wish I could integrate Revinate with Facebook Ads so I could optimize my lead gen efforts.

• If someone outside the hotel/hospitality industry asked about Revinate, I would likely recommend a different CRM.
  • Our ROI with Revinate has helped us take back some of our OTA revenue, and for the first time ever, our revenue outpaced our OTA revenue, due to our email campaigns. We are a small indie hotel and this is crucial for us.
Revinate lacks some features Mailchimp offers for a seasoned digital marketer. I have 10+ years of experience and I use both Mailchimp and Revinate for Hotel Sorrento because Mailchimp allows me to automate sending an email when someone signs up, attach a Facebook Pixel for lead gen tracking, create Landing Page, offers more fonts and style customizations, and allows me to control our domain via DNS so we end up in less spam/junk folders. I can also integrate Mailchimp into more tools than Revinate, i.e. ManyChat, Facebook Ads, Squarespace, etc.

Revinate is used across all of the Wyndham Organization. Our specific hotel uses it within every department to monitor and maintain guest service standards. We monitor many different departments using Revinate and how those departments are performing in the eyes of our guests and conference clients.
  • Filters all guests reviews into one place.
  • Allows us to respond to guest reviews easily.
  • Revinate has a multitude of reporting options and functionality that allow us to dig down to key areas of interest.
  • Streamline how we answer reviews further. I feel like we should not have to log into Revinate and log into third party sites to answer reviews. Revinate would have partnerships with these third parties to streamline the review answering process.
  • I also don't like how Revinate will not give direct access to Wyndham franchise users. We have to log into a MyPortal account and then into Revinate using the MyPortal link. It would be more efficient to have direct access and capabilities.
  • Make your report creation area user-friendly. You don't offer much training or help assistance in learning to create reports.
Revinate is very appropriate for any business that monitors, answers and utilizes guest or customer reviews on a daily basis. It assists with drilling down to core areas that a business either excels in or the opposite: does poorly. It is a great tool to track your scores and what people are saying about your product and service. Adversely, it is not appropriate for businesses that do not need the ability to track guest reviews and scores.

  • I can tell you that Revinate is a vital tool in tracking all the possible reviews being sent in my our guests. We receive over 600 reviews per month from outlets all over the web and this program helps us monitor all of them in one place.
  • We receive data from all over (i.e., Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, WynReview, TripAdvisor, Google, etc.)
We have Revinate users from all over our organization from Regional Managers to Housekeeping Directors to Front Office Managers and Food & Beverage Directors. Our Chief Engineer uses it to monitor what guests are saying about room maintenance. Revinate is used across the board in our organization and assists us in keeping up to date with everything we may not being seeing our experiencing ourselves.
Survey Monkey pales in comparison to Revinate because of the depths Revinate has to offer. Survey Monkey is good for surface level tallying if you can get your client to fill out the surveys. But again, it is a simple survey tool wheres Revinate offers in depth analysis.
