Rippling is a way for businesses to manage all of their HR, IT, and Finance — payroll, benefits, computers, apps, corporate cards, expenses, and more — in one unified workforce platform. By connecting every business system to one source of truth for employee data, businesses can automate all of the manual work they normally need to do to make employee changes.

It's hard to write a lot here because the competing products just aren't very good. I have used ADP in multiple companies - they are a huge company, and their platform feels like it. ADP is sluggish and ancient, and the benefits management is an afterthought. BambooHR is old school - not easy at all. Gusto is the closest, but Rippling is just a better overall experience. There have been several other platforms in different companies, but to be honest, I can't even remember the names of them because they were so awful I would just ship all my requests to HR and let them deal with the mess. Rippling is great, it has saved me the cost of hiring an HR person, and I have almost everything on auto-pilot. No way I could do that with the competing tools I've used.

Workday has a tremendous amount of features. Its features can probably be tweaked to fit any business. But it is way more complicated than is necessary for a business like ours.

Workday also feels like enterprise software in that everything is 10 clicks away as you navigate through customized menu after customized menu. Rippling is smaller and more focused. As an employee, I like this.

Much easier to use from an admin, manager, and team member perspective. Too clunky and challenging to make changes. Managers' roles weren't very robust so the admins had to make changes on our behalf.
As an employee, the tool was even worse. It just wasn't great and was expensive for the offering.

Gusto was primarily a Payroll and HR platform. Rippling offers significantly more features than Gusto. The app management is more comprehensive and we did not have the option to manage, order, or store devices within Gusto.

The payroll feature in Gusto was more user friendly, however, the insurance and benefit info had to be entered manually and tracked on an ongoing basis. With Rippling - this process is automated which is a huge benefit.

I am not quite sure how they differ, but I do know that when it comes to HR software and CRM databases, the HR functionality with Rippling cannot be beaten by any other. HubSpot makes more sense for a sales-driven CRM, but lacks in the latter in comparison to Rippling.

It blows Paylocity out of the water! The thing I struggled with the most when using Paylocity was the navigation/information architecture of the application. The layout of the information did not make sense and I could never find the "thing" I was looking for.

It has to do with the UI. UIs are often the difference between a good and a great system. Most will "DO" similar stuff. What is important is the HOW you do it and HOW intuitive it is to use without training. As mentioned before, I am not HR, and HR activities are a sideshow to what a company actually does (unless you sell HR activities). But HR and getting paid are important to employers and employees. So having an easy system to use is the most important aspect (assuming functions and offerings are similar).

Rippling is so much easier to use. It is more efficient and helps me track my hours as well as time card in an easier manner than the above-mentioned. Everything is very clear and easy to understand. It does not stress me out or make me frustrated in any way. Easy to access features and easy-to-use features.

I did not select Rippling, but when compared to Gusto it has delivered a more professional experience for me. Information is more clearly presented and easier to access. Gusto was a "friendlier" software in feel but oftentimes not the easiest tool to understand important HR-related info (i.e. tax info on employee pay).
