Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I think it's only appropriate if you're already using the software as it's so antiquated and hasn't been evolving nearly quick enough to keep up with modern expectations. There is no API, making it impossible to easily integrate with other systems, which I would say, is table stakes in this modern environment.

We are a medium-sized company, so I'm not sure that this would be an appropriate solution for a large organization (over 100M revenue). However, for our organization, it works very well. We use the on-premise client-server version, but we would like to move to a SAAS-cloud service. I have not yet spoken with Sage about that possibility. Their support is second to none. My support methodology is generally a call directly to Sage, and it is rare when I have to leave a ticket and get called back.

Sage is not at all well suited for small companies who want an agile, nimble setup for quick moving situations and mobile use. These type of companies should look elsewhere such as a SaaS offering from another vendor. In addition Sage is very expensive both in its initial outlay and ongoing support.
Medium and larger sized companies benefit from a Sage install much more than the smaller constructor. Having the modules all work in unison is important when a company is of a certain size as is having the long tenured support structure. In addition Sage requires the terminals services setup to use it remotely and the larger companies are more likely to have the infrastructure and support for that type of setup.

Sage has been a wonderful software to use for our tenants and has truly streamlined many processes into one, however, the software could use a bit of updating. It seems a bit old and outdated although all of the functions are still relevant, it just could be a bit more user friendly.

Sage 300 is great for accounting needs and services, it utilizes all the aspects needed for Client and Account Management, as well as detailed reports and statistics. Also, the financial reports are excellent quality and built well for our environment.

My experience leads me to believe that Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate is best utilized and most appropriate for medium to large size companies that have an internal IT department. I would be hesitant to recommend the software to small companies and those whose employees lack good computer skills.

It is very powerful but has not continued to keep us with the times when it comes to technology. The fact that it is server-based for the full system does not bode well with our company processes. We have many field crew members and other production managers that need access to our information but cannot do that while they are in the field.

Works well for project costing and tracking. The general ledger feature is solid. It is not a very intuitive user interface. It almost feels like a version of AOL from the late '90s. They have a long way to go compared to their competitors in this area.

If you work in construction, need to track documents, cost, revenue, submittals, timecards, finances, change management, equipment, labor, and run multiple analytics on these entries, then this product should be on your computers. If I'm being completely honest, this is not the best product in the realm of 'Construction Management'. There are a lot of different companies that do a much better job organizing the information, running custom reports, and especially as far as user interface/customization.

The Sage 300 product is well designed for construction and real estate companies where the job costing module is very beneficial for the business. Other industries can also use Sage 300, however, there might be more appropriate systems that can be better suited for some industries. The reporting modules need improvement.
