Sage Timeslips Review

Our law firm uses Sage Timeslips for our firm's billing and to keep track of payments we have received. The staff uses Timeslips to enter clients' information for new matters, running reports, entering payments and sending out bills. The paralegals and attorneys use Sage Timeslips to enter their billing for cases. Timeslips allows us to determine how much has been billed for our cases for affidavits we have to file for our cases.
  • Timeslips makes it easy to open new matters.
  • It is easy to enter firm billing and expenses into Timeslips.
  • It is easy to determine how much has been billed for specific cases.
  • It is easy to run pre-bills and to finalize billing.
  • Timeslips has good customer service for when there are specific questions or issues.
  • Timeslips needs a "select all" button for transferring time over from eCenter so each entry does not have to be individually checked off to transfer time to Timeslips.
  • The reports feature is confusing and we sometimes have issues running specific reports.
  • eCenter should allow staff and attorneys to review their prior billing even after the time and expenses have been transferred over to Timeslips.
Sage Timeslips is well suited for law firms that do their own billing, need to run reports on their billing, and help keep track of clients. I believe Timeslips could be used by any professional company. I cannot think of any scenarios where Sage Timeslips would be less appropriate to use.
  • It's easy to open new matters.
  • It is easy to run pre-bills and to finalize bills.
  • It is easy to enter payments.
  • It allows us to run reports.
  • It helps us keep track of how much clients have paid.
  • It helps us determine how much money clients still owe us.
  • It allows us to do our own firm's billing.
A law firm I previously worked at used ProLaw to enter our firm's billing, sending out bills and doing reports. I only entered time using ProLaw, so I cannot go into much detail about it. However, Sage Timeslips can do a lot more than ProLaw, and it is a lot easier to enter new cases, enter time and expenses and run reports compared to ProLaw.
