As mentioned, the integration between SAP Build Work Zone and SAP BPA, SAP S/4HANA, and Ariba was easy to follow once all requirements were met. However, there is not much information, or at least the SAP Documentation is not easy to follow to set up the right landscape that meets all the requirements; this was the case with the IAS and IPS configuration, where we needed the support of BTP Architects.

Quick mobile development, the drag and drop features are great. SAP Build code is a cloud-based application development environment for Java and JavaScript that streamlines the software development process, enabling developers to build and deploy applications faster. It offers a comprehensive set of features, including pre-built integrations, guided templates, and built-in best practices, to accelerate development and ensure code quality. With its intuitive interface and fusion development capabilities, SAP Build fosters collaboration between developers and business experts, empowering them to create innovative solutions that meet the specific needs of their organizations.

The Optical Character Recognition is working excellent, it's even better than some well-known niche players in the market. It's very suitable for workflows crossing multiple SAP and non-SAP systems. The Robotic Process Automation is quite good, but not best of breed. The integration content SAP provides on the other hand, is a great way to get started.

Simple UI apps that do not require a lot of development

It is very usefull in triggering the workflow and conectivity to other third party applications which has OData connectivity

Well suited case is the management of task for technicians or declarations of activity. In my opinion, it's less appropriate is when we start to have complex interaction with the backend. the bar code scanning feature is nice but the qr code feature was difficult to handle on logistics topics in my experience. In my experience, the Storage of attachment was challenging.

If colleagues come to me with use cases that arent to complex, I mostly recommend them SAP Build. Also if the budget is getting thight or the deadline is getting thight, you can easily and quickly have a basic App or flow, whuch you can then already have as a basis for the next steps in the automation

Well-suited scenarios are early-stage prototyping, user-centered design, mobile app development, and integration with SAP solutions.

Less appropriate scenarios are complex interaction, not fit for large-scale projects, low budgets, or small teams, and making applications offline.

CI/CD and automation

SAP Build is well suited to simple scenarios and complex scenarios less appropriate.

Refreshing screen, good UI, and most importantly - the ability of the unattended bot is something eye-catching. Although we did have some challenges replicating the "foreground" mode, we loved the ability of the tool to navigate from one screen to another in the background with absolutely no manual intervention. Building the logic from a Developer's standpoint is also not that complex. As I said before, even an RPA developer could get into the system and start building the algorithm.

Suitable More secured infra and less appropriate for open source firms

Single entry point for all FIORI apps connecting to multiple SAP systems. But not only that, you can embed WebGUI T Codes, webdynpro/FPM apps and NW portal as well - all in one single screen. No more navigation to a new window.

I think it would be more helpful when the apps are simpler and you don't expect it to grow in complexity. It is also easier for someone with less coding experience to create since it uses a lot of no code, drag and drop ui creation. I don't think it is worth learning for someone who is already experienced in other sap technologies.

It is well suited for building apps quickly with minimum coding skills and have scenarios where we can bring SAP Build Apps (formerly SAP AppGyver), SAP Build Process Automation (formerly SAP Process Automation), and SAP Build Work Zone (formerly SAP Work Zone) together.
It is less appropriate when we would like to build SAP Fiori like applications.

Features and functions of SAP Build are such that they can be according to the need of the company. It's well suited for companies that have more custom solutions.

Our site users used SAP build to automate workflow processes and tasks. This does not include the Logic or code everything was done using drag-and-drop and AI capabilities.
