SAP Integration Suite simplifies integrations. Team members can speed up prototyping and use feedback to select integration. Best if your SAP client maximizes mapping and has a migration path. APIs also interest me. It simplifies integration management and allows bespoke process solutions. It includes other prebuilt packages and connectors, as well as a great development environment.
  • Integrating products flawlessly.
  • A low cost is associated with licensing.
  • We are now having 0 downtime.
  • Onboarding new staff members is no easy task.
  • It can be challenging for a newbie to use the correct terminology.
  • Included should be tools that are less complicated.
I've seen firsthand the power of free trials as a sales tool, having helped with countless successful conversions from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite. With its many features, it can accommodate a wide variety of integration scenarios. Converting from process orchestration to integration suite is made easy with the help of the assessment and migration tools. It is a top-notch system that streamlines integration administration. Quickly setting up secure endpoints that may be used in multiple places is another useful feature of the API management platform.

We use API Management of the SAP Integration Suite to expose web services externally as part of an open strategi.
The product helps us expose and protect the API by using API policies.
At the moment we are at a starting point, but later on we will scale up the use.
In the future use we will use and activate more capabilities of the SAP Integration Suite to embrace more business needs
  • Protect API's
  • Uniform exposure
  • Better monitoring and overview of messages
  • Support for more adapter types
  • Certificate handling without using OSS
  • Better and more mature migrations tool from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite
The SAP Integration Suite is well suited for cloud to cloud scenarios. In our company we have a lot of on-premise to on-premise integrations, so here the we need some more support.
Today we are mostly using SAP PO with XI adapters to ECC. Here it's difficult to find support and guidance in migrating these to SAP Integration Suite

We are using it at multiple clients

We are using the entire scope / from b2b to Event Mesh to Cloud Integration

The business problems it solves are centralized monitoring, fast development, higher quality of code and better security. The possibilities with integration devops are great, because that can enforce governance of this. We also like the new advanced event mesh for handling many unique events per second
  • DevOps integration
  • Good overview of integration components
  • Advanced Event Mesh
  • All the connectors
  • Monitoring could be better
  • automatic exactly once in order handling
  • Newer protocol support
  • Standard content for B2B / ie Peppol integration
So far almost all SAP to SAP and most SAP to Non-SAP.

It is not good for EDI

SAP Integration Suite is a great product that makes it easy to create integration. It is the preferred way for SAP PI/PO customers where the migration direction is fairly easy and it is possible to use your mappings levering the investment in the integration. <br>I also like the APIs option that enables you to create your own custom solutions on the flows making it easy for yours to manage the integration.
  • APIs provide to manage the platform
  • Reuse of migration from SAP PI/PO
  • Good platform for running solid integrations
  • Some of the mappings tools is a bit deficult to manage
  • The API strategy could be changed
We have created a lot of migrations from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite which is quite helpful.
We have also created multliy SAP to SAP and SAP to succesfactor integration. It is a solid platform that allows you to manage the integration in a simple way.
The API management platform also allows you to fast to create a new setup secure endpoints that can be used in different locations.

We are currently using SAP integration Suite for the application API management.
The problems the application provides a solution for us is that we can use it as a single entry point for our exposing our SAP backend systems.
This helps us with the integration communication with our non-SAP systems.
  • Single point of entry for reaching our backend API's
  • For us have noticed problems with stability and operations
  • There is no feedback from SAP whenever the solution is missbehaving
Good for exposing the backend services

Migrating from Process orchestration to Integration suite. Trying to build all new integrations in IS and migrate integration per integration from PO to IS.

As a integration developer and architect it is fun to work with a new product that offers more capabilities than the older PO platform. There are still use cases that we have in PO that is not supported in Integration suite making a complete migration impossible right now
  • Template based integration
  • Migration tool for easier scenarios in process orchestration
  • Graphical iflows that are easy to understand for people that aren't necessarily developers
  • Support for all the adapters that was supported by process orchestration. NFS Mount etc.
  • Monitoring capabilities in PO are great, lacking in Integration suite
  • Unsure about adapter module support that was used in process orchestration scenarios
Lots of capabilities for many different integration scenarios. Assesment tool and migration tool are nice products that help ease the transition from process orchestartion to integraiton suite.

Harder to move integrations using custom java mapping classes. As I understand we need to copy paste them and groovify the code.

Free trial is great and easy way to sell the product to the customer as a trial basis (I
'm working as a development consultant)

We use the SAP integration suite to create a holistic integration approach over all the applications in the landscape. This enables us to speed up the processes and avoid data discrepancies. the combination of out of the box integrations, with the standard Open Connectors and the option for custom development in the low code environment, answers all needs for the company.
  • Holistisc integration
  • Seamless connection
  • Out-of the box integrations
  • Open up the range of applications that are supported in the out of the box integrations
I can recommend it for various reasons as mentioned in the previous answer

We use the SAP Integration Suite for integrations with SuccessFactors and also for a lot of inbound and outbound IDOC interfaces. This helped us resolve the issue we had with many terminals posting sales data into SAP ERP system. We also use CPI for a lot of File Transfers using FTP.
  • IDOC Integration
  • EDI Mapping
  • FTP transfers
  • Better monitoring capabilities
It is most suited where an integration involves IDOCs and SAP relevant APIs. We had issues with integrating our ERP system with external terminals and we used CPI to integrate the SAP system with external Terminalling systems. However, in scenarios where one of the end systems is not SAP, it might not be the best tool.

This is our first year integrating the integration suite. Previously, we had Boomi as our middleware. Since making the transition, our organization has better visibility to not only manage existing integrations but also optimize current business processes. For example, we have recently changed benefits providers. This provider has very specific data mapping requirements. The integration suite allows us to leverage our EC environment and, almost seamlessly, ensure concrete data integrity. It also supports the relationship between our organization and the vendor.
  • Better visibility on connections
  • Neo and cloud foundry options
  • Strengths relations with vendors
  • Affordable cost with licensing
  • Integration dashboard
  • More clear connector options
Well suited for:
-new/existing vendor integrations
-cloud to cloud connections
-downstream processes w/ SFTP

Integration suite is great for vendor connections between your HRIS platform (EC) and downstream vendors such as a retirement or benefits vendors, payroll management, or surveyor. It is very clear on both sides of the aisle what is and is not required to make a successful connection from one end point to the other.

Less appropriate:
-on premise integrations
-home grown applications
-simple file transfers

Our organization always focuses on applying new thoughts and new skills to improve the quality of deliverables. We always prefer a secure cloud infrastructure and or a secure environment for development as well as storing our data. The SAP Integration Suite has more sets of libraries/development kits than other solutions. This platform is used by my department, which is for an insurance and procurement client.

  • Multiple layer security
  • Ease of use
  • Data recovery
  • Access control

  • Installation
  • Training and Materials
  • Need More logs (log files) at every level for enhanced security
SAP Integration Suite is well suited for projects where we need to adopt the latest technologies. It provides various features and is also capable of accepting changes whenever required. It also has the ability to integrate with other applications and environments. SAP Integration Suite also ensures high scalability. It is less appropriate for small and medium size projects.

It is planned to employ EDI, Eventing, and API Management in the near future. When compared to SAP's older on-premise integration options, the SAP integration suite offers a wide variety of useful features.
  • Putting information somewhere it will stay for later use.
  • Using both synchronous and asynchronous connections.
  • not highly transferable to situations when neither party is using SAP
  • There are certain ideas here that are unique to SAP.
The consumer pricing is fair. And it supports sap s4 and ecc. Also we favor api over file-based option.

I am able to leverage current business data and purposes to create apps faster, increasing the organization's productivity. The solution addressed a number of difficulties, the most notable of which are use cases that demand BYOD: bring your own device configuration, which necessitates compatibility and breadth across various dimensions, which SAP Integration Suite supplies. The time necessary to create an interface is significantly shorter than that required in SAP PI or PO. While creating an interface in PI or PO might take many hours, it can be completed in CPI in an hour.
  • The drag-and-drop interface, as well as SAP regular improvements to its pre-packaged content, are also excellent features.
  • The security features (such as the cloud connection for sending data to the local system, as well as encryption and scrambling) are really beneficial.
  • Unlike other tools I've tested, the SAP connectivity package offers access to third-party cloud apps.
  • Prototyping may be completed more quickly, and the team can determine whether or not to proceed with the integration depending on the feedback process.
  • To assist with design and publication, the SAP connectivity package could surely benefit from additional user-friendly interfaces and functionality.
  • The overall cost of the product as well as the training required for the team to do Agile PoCs so that we can rapidly show the portions that are practical and high value.
It fits well in numerous scenarios and commerce cases for most companies, in my individual involvement I would suggest it to all organizations as we know the significance of secure information and analytics and coordinates work between diverse offices, and SAP Cloud Information it is one of the culminate apparatuses to handle all these necessities. It coordinating well with other valuable SAP arrangements like SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Information Insights, it can too be coordinates with other non-SAP arrangements like Sky blue Advertisement, MS Viewpoint, Blackline, MS SharePoint, etc., to extend the workflow of the whole organization, the integration calculate is what makes it reasonable for our organization.

This is our middleware for both SAP and non-SAP products which includes things in cloud and on prem. This product was chosen considering the cloud offering from SAP. This is definitely an advanced product comparing its predecessors like SAP PI, PO etc. This product is in top line and compares to other similar products like Dell Boomi and Mulesoft.

We currently use Integration suite to implement our modern integrations. API and event messaging, as well as integrations with complex orchestrations.
Ingegration Suite greatly improves the possibilities offered by PI/PO, being able to have much more flexibility in the development of integrations. It also improves in terms of performance.

As against saying that the standard monitoring solution falls short, in addition to certain problems that we have had in some upgrades without expected downtime.

We were using SAP PI/PO as the middleware in our landscape. Business Challenges with SAP PI/PO: Being an on-premises application, the underlying hardware requires monthly patching to address security vulnerabilities that are prone to cyber-attacks. This necessitates bringing down the application servers every month. We have more than 30 critical payroll integrations operating for various countries, each with its own frequency, ranging from daily to weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. Furthermore, the on-premises integration system hosts various essential business processes, such as Work Order management, Tooling and Equipment management, Inventory management, Time management, and many others, making it a vital component for our field service operations. Any interruption or downtime in the system halts business operations resulting in a loss of productivity and employee dissatisfaction. Additionally, the company may face legal consequences. These challenges prompted us to consider a new cloud-based solution that offers high availability, reliability, and scalability. We have recently completed a successful migration of our Integrations from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite, Now all our integrations are 100% on the cloud.
  • We've had a reduction in downtime from 4 hours to 0 hours.
  • The processing time for high-volume interfaces showed a substantial improvement, with a remarkable 10-fold increase.
  • There is a potential cost reduction of 300K USD in hardware and infrastructure expenses.
  • TRACE logging should be increased from 10 mins to at least 1 hour.
  • Message mapping loads a bit slow; I think this needs to be as smooth as SAP PI/PO.
  • FTP adapter is missing, which is needed.
Best for SAP to SAP Integration. SuccessFactors integration is easy and SAP Integration Suite is best suited for all scenarios. We have 132 integrations running successfully without any issues and we completed the migration in 2 years. We are enjoying the perks of the SAP Integration Suite.
