SAP Commerce Cloud

We had several requirements to integrate non-sap applications. Utilizing the standard API calls to backend databases for territory management allowed the user to experience their region in a unique way being able to view their accounts and targeted ship-to for mass deliveries. Standard integration plug-ins from OpenText Media Manager made image integration seamless, allowing for approved images to be sourced.

SAP Commerce Cloud is very complicated if you don't have experience; the documentations are not good enough, but once you learn it, it works perfectly.

The platform supports a wide variety of integration mechanisms like file exchange, REST, SOAP web services outbound services, ESB integrations, etc.

With minimum configuration in SAP Commerce Cloud you can integrate with 3rd part systems.

When it came to integrating our 3rd party applications into SAP Commerce Cloud we had to reach out to SAP support multiple times to clarify many doubts. The whole customer support team was very friendly and knowledgeable over this regard and helped us throughout. The integrations were made possible with SAP's best feature, SAP integration cloud - which is a multi-cloud platform to simplify integration processes.

It's fast and easy to use and to develop for the client's custom needs. Having a product running and out in production for the users to use it it's a really important aspect that needs to get done in time, that's what SAP it's best at.

Integrations need to be easy to configure and available OOB for most of the known reusable Integrating points. At present, my experience has been not every project follows the same pattern for Integrations, but there has to be a set of standard guidelines and extensions for well-known integrations so that integrations can be done without any custom work.

I like the integration of the SAP Commerce Cloud with the SAP HAC and SAP Backoffice it makes things look easier and organized

Integration with SAP ERP, S4 and other system is now easy.

Adding new functionality is easy.

SAP Commerce Cloud architecture has agility and flexibility with cloud-native capabilities. It helps deliver personalized digital commerce experiences to the customers and business which simplifies digital transformation. It integrates with the vendor or the third party without the need to start from scratch. The SAP Commerce Cloud comes with the integration extension pack which delivers out-of-the-box solutions to integrate with ERP and a range of applications such as SAP Marketing Cloud or SAP Sales Cloud.

It is easy to integrate them but a bit confusing because no proper documentation.

It's doing pretty well and it's almost straightforward. You just generate the credentials in Backoffice and use the code integration with the external service. We use it for ECC integration via OData and we like it so much. Furthermore, it's very easy to monitor all the integrations via Integration UI Tool.

SAP Commerce Cloud is integrated with SAP S4 Hana and it is easy to use. We get all pricing, warehouse information from S4 and we did not get any major problems. With SAP Cloud applications – Sales, Service, Commerce, Marketing Cloud & Field Service Management – all customer interactions have been gathered onto a single platform using a multi-channel structure and a 360-degree customer experience.

SAP improved integration

Just in a few cases we encounter difficulties during the development of the integration.

It is easy to integrate with other SAP products, but more difficult with other products made by different vendors.

The SAP Commerce Cloud provides with flexibility in the integration as it allows for both the out-of-the-box integrations as well as custom REST and SOAP-based integrations.

It's scalable, with the ability to scale up or down service dimensions based on traffic and demand.

Since our organization has implemented various SAP modules, therefore it was very easy for us to integrate SAP Commerce Cloud with pre-existing software. Data sharing within multiple platforms has enabled us to make informed decisions to optimize our business processes. SAP Commerce Cloud offers pre-built integrations with other SAP products therefore we can directly add the necessary functionality rather than going through the entire integration process.

We have integrated SAP Commerce Cloud with multiple SAP and non-SAP tools to advance capabilities, export and import data between systems seamlessly. We have integrated SAP Commerce Cloud with Oracle Cloud ERP, which helps us filter customer data so [that] we can gain more experience with our clients in order to deliver the right services.

I do not personally do this integration work, however, we have multiple clients that run complex, multi-brand architectures after years of acquisitions and often have multiple backend ERP's and other systems that need to seamlessly integrate and communicate with one another, and our work there is flawless.
