We use SAP Commerce Cloud along with other components of SAP in our organization for eCommerce needs such as receiving payments and reconciling invoices. Through the software, we are able to view return on investment and meet all of our marketing needs. All of our data and material are better managed and organized, and we are able to manage all of our content in an efficient manner. It is also very customizable to meet our needs which is great when things are consistently changing.
  • Ability to manage content.
  • Optimal customer experience.
  • Ability to integrate other SAP products.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud is a bit expensive, but if you use it regularly, it's worth the investment.
SAP Commerce Cloud is great for e-commerce needs. For those with a high volume, this is the software for you. SAP Commerce Cloud may not be necessary for a small organization with small needs and a low workload due to the expensive cost. The training and setup are extensive but if you have a need, it is a great resource.

  • Saves time by utilizing accelerators.
  • Saves on extra resources with the ability to integrate other SAP products and additional software.
  • Customizable to meet individual's needs.
  • Oracle CX Commerce (formerly Oracle Commerce Cloud)
SAP is a very complex and well-put-together software and there are a plethora of platforms available. SAP Commerce Cloud was chosen as the software for our organization to use because every application can be integrated across all platforms. The training is extensive but there are so many functions and customizations that can be used it was a no-brainer to make the switch.

Our company did not purchase premium support. In my experience so far, SAP Commerce Cloud customer service has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful anytime I need to submit a ticket.

The support for SAP Commerce Cloud has also been quick, knowledgeable, and very helpful every time I had a question or a need. The training resources are also great.

SAP Hybris Commerce is the infrastructure of the project we have developed for the digital banking sector. The product is used by all technical business units. SAP Commerce is actively used in the current situation because it includes the e-commerce functions needed in digital retailing. In addition, the ability to track the company's stock integrated with existing ERP (SAP and/or non-SAP) systems gives us an advantage.
  • With SAP Commerce Cloud, we have strong content management where we define products, catalogs, and promotions.
  • It is possible to carry out transactions with SAP Commerce Cloud in such a way that they are integrated with existing ERP systems.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud has a platform where web interfaces are decoded.
  • It's a very costly product for small companies. Further cost reduction will increase the choice of the product.
  • Learning the SAP Commerce system is difficult for a start. In a simpler way, SAP Commerce product can be learned.
SAP Commerce Cloud offers the ability to manage in-house inventory management on a single platform. I think the most important advantage of this is this: all teams can monitor the product at the same time in physical, online platforms and call centers. Real-time tracking of inventory status across all channels makes inventory tracking very easy. In addition, with the PCM feature, we can easily manage the product's content and catalog.

  • With the PCM feature included in SAP Commerce Cloud, we can easily manage the product's content and catalog. It is a very important feature for technical business units.
  • The use of SOLR indexing technologies, which provide detailed product search functions in SAP Commerce Cloud, allows us to perform fast searches.
The SAP Commerce Cloud product has powerful content management that identifies products, catalogs, and promotions. In addition, it has a feature where inventory is tracked integrated with existing ERP (SAP and/or non-SAP) systems. With SAP Commerce Cloud, we can enable transactions to trigger all processes to integrate with existing ERP systems. In this way, it is possible to manage the system from end to end.
We have the right to open a ticket or submit request to SAP support teams for all the problems we have experienced. They also provide solutions for critical issues within 48 hours. In addition, the product has support documents such as a user guide and admin guide. In addition, there is a strong community of users. In this way, we can access solution of some specific problems that we have fallen on from there.

Data Hub Underperformance

Data Hub is currently used to integrate SAP Hybris with our SAP ECC to support wholesale sales processes. Mainly, it is used to send orders and product data between systems.
  • Integration between SAP tools.
  • Licensing costs.
  • Performance problems when managing huge data volumes.
  • It requires continuous rebooting as it stops working without any notice.
  • Not possible to work as a cluster.
Due to its instability, low performance and lack of functionalities, I don't recommend anyone to really use Data Hub.

  • It has no extra licensing costs due to its inclusion of SAP Hybris.
  • The low performance, instability and not being a well-rounded product, it has caused a lot of headaches and the dislike of Hybris end-users as well as of the IT team that is trying to support it.
No other product was evaluated as this one was part of the Hybris solution.
SAP failed to provide clear support on the errors raised with the Data Hub and also they gave us wrong instructions with the servers set-up in cluster mode.
