SAP Concur is quite an advance tool to manage the expenses. Once you are versed with the usage of the application, you can easily log your expense in just three steps - i.e. Create New Claim, Add Expense & Submit. There is an option to attach multiple receipts too. If you have receipts in 'document' format of Microsoft word or excel then ensure to have that converted to either image or pdf as it doesn't currently allow upload of documents/spreadsheets. The "Business Purpose" is a free text field and is required to be filled couple of times i.e. once on the 'Create New claim' screen and then once you proceed further and on the 'Add expense' screen and doesn't automatically pull up from the main screen. This results in duplication.

- suitable for medium or big companies since they are able to afford the cost
- not so much for a smaller company since it's expensive to use, and other cheaper alternatives are available (although less reliable)

Excellent, I have met some very helpful persons at Concur Support team that have helped resolve my issues. And these are not easy to resolve.

Love the ease of use on this application. Appreciate the smart phone access. Authentication sometimes does NOT work, but, once in the application is a delight to work with.

In my organization we use it to reimburse expenses made such as certification cost and travel expenses. The tool is really easy to use and straight forward. Its easy to track your requests and manage it. Its easier for managers and leaders to approve budget without going for a hazel to do it manually.

We use it to gain real-time visibility into employee spending to identify areas for cost savings and help the company stay within budget.

When uploading receipts and marking what they were used for. It doesn't seem to let you change things easily also. Or upload multiple receipts at once. To provide a concrete example, I travel significantly for work. In order to submit invoices for expenses, I have to separately upload 10-30 receipts. Spending 2-3 hours per trip to input all of the information into SAP Concur. For a platform with so many frequent travelers, there should be an automatic portion of this. I shouldn't have to edit each receipt. It should be able to handle a bulk upload and sort through the receipts with AI. I'm surprised that there isn't a competitor who has a solution that could save that time and headache and replace Concur. ROI-wise, let's say the average traveling business person is making $75/hour and is traveling 2x per month. Let's say the quicker employees can do their expense report in 1 hour - that is $75 per report. Now for a large enterprise, let's multiply that by 500 traveling employees per month at 2x per month. That's $75,000 monthly in employee time that could be saved and directed towards revenue-generating activities if a competitor came along and had a good system for sorting the receipts automatically.

Concur Travel and Expense encompasses an easy-to-use solution for booking a business trip and declaring the expenses related to it. It's very straight-forward, efficient and has all the needed functionalities

- suited for corporate travellers that have related and linked corporate cards

- less appropriate for infrequent travellers where cash advances are required

Well suited:
To book hotels and travel (rail/air tickets) in accordance with company policy
More transparency and visibility in the process of claiming and reimbursing the expenses
Less suited:
Receipts scanning option in the app is not that much efficient

When traveling for consults or conferences Concur Travel & Expense Management is ideal

I like being able to use the app for creating expenses note and taking pictures of my receipt; it saves time.

Concur is an ideal travel and expense management solution for small business to enterprise customers.

The handling of receipts right after purchase is genius. Also the matching against credit cards transactions is really helpfull.

The application is works very well for a large company where it is an impossible tasks to keep on top of travel and expenses. it maybe wouldn't be needed for a small company but invaluable for medium/large companies

Hardly run into any issues with Concur.

Concur Travel and Expense is really easy to use and saved us lots of time from creating the report to get the reimburse. The whole process is very straightforward.

Concur makes it very simple to handle card transaction import and assignment, expense report submission, and employee reimbursements.

It is super suitable to use when I expense my travel at work and also to book my work trips.
