SAP Crystal Reports is most stable product we have ever used. It's better at support, easier to use, simpler UI which makes it easy to understand. It becomes easy to create reports, charts with this great product and the presentation looks more convincing. Any cumbersome product can waste a lot of time if it doesn't have a good support system though it may be lesser in pricing but SAP crystal is far better and fast to work with.

I have in depth experience using Crystal Reports, all the way back to version 5 in the mid 1990s! Although the expected improvements in the various features of the product were a key factor in our decision to use Crystal Reports, the reality is that familiarity with the product, and it's longevity in the marketplace, are the key reasons we use Crustal Reports.

The single largest factor in contributing to our choice to go with Crystal as a product in our tool set was that we had previous experience using it, and it was almost impossible in the time allotted to find something that checked all the boxes we needed for our team and our clients.

We needed a product that integrated with our ERP system and we already had a relationship with SAP. It was definitely not a replacement of a product, but rather adding to already existing environment we had with SAP.

It has a native integration with our primary database software, Blackbaud. There really isn't much alternative for reporting software when you use Blackbaud's database systems.

I work for one of the most reputable Crystal Report/Server training companies in the US and Canada who has been teaching this product for over 20 years. We have had to my knowledge only a handful of situations where Crystal Reports would not work to the customers specifications. At that time, I do not believe the customer had a runner up or solution waiting. I have taught in almost every industry and Crystal is the clear winner.
The biggest challenge facing companies these days with the implementation of a new product or software package is purchasing, implementation, and training staff to be productive quickly. Crystal Reports exceeds in every one of those aspects.

Crystal Reports - your Real-Time SAP ERP Reporting Solution

It has pixel perfect and nice formatting features - e.g. Financial Statement perfect features. It does it all. Plus it works natively with SAP ERP tables - no other product does that today. Many in our company are already familiar with using Crystal Reports and are experienced users. It is used for operational and financial reporting out of SAP ERP/ECC.

It all comes down to price when you need to implement across multiple users. We needed to implement for a handful of users and despite the cost of a single client, it was much cheaper in the end when you consider training time. Crystal also has a lot of help available online.

Looking for Some Reporting BLING? Try Crystal Reports.

We were under a tight budget so price was a big concern. Standard, single-user licences are not expensive, even for a team the price is low. The were a certain set of features the product needed to have. We listed those on a spreadsheet then got trial versions of several reporting tools, including Crystal Reports, and compared the tool's feature to our list. We crossed off products that took too long to learn so usability was also key.

Analyst Reports - When you are reporting on large amounts of data, Crystal was extremely fast and proficient in pulling transaction level details in matter of seconds. This allowed for more complex analysis and ability to drill down further into details without being time consuming. When answers are needed on the fly, any canned report could be written with parameters so just a quick refresh will produce data to support any decision.
