Big organisations can benefit a lot from SAP data intelligence platform. However, if you are a small firm with low employee count then the pricing makes it difficult to go with the platform. Big data firms can use this platforms end to end solution. The workflow is well suited for companies working with a large chunk of data

It is well suited to augment data from multiple resources (including APIs) and automate workflows. Dashboard helps in easy analyse and monitoring the key KPIs. However, advance visualization features are missing.
Further, deploying ML models with ease is a plus. Also, its multiple language support ( Python, R etc) helps user to easy write code.

It helps our BUs analyze data and create dashboards they can understand. While slowing down with a large database, it becomes less helpful. In my experience, it is excellent in consolidating information from several sources for analysis, decision-making, and knowledge gaps. Excellent at managing information access.

In our projects we implement SAP Data intelligence software tool for the development and implementation of ETL pipelines, as well as currently migrating the Oracle database cluster to Postgre with the help of this tool. Moreover, as we are also using SAP 4HANA tool, it is easy for us to integrate already in use processes with this new data intelligence platform. Also, it provides good functionality in the integration processes with cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.

SAP Data Intelligence is excellent for sharing data visualizations and data 'stories' externally. Our BU (Business Units) love the visual clarity of the dashboards.

When datasets are extremely large, SAP Data Intelligence can still be used, but it should be noted that it can become very slow and more difficult to use.

I just used Data Intelligence from in infrastructure point of view to validate NetApp storage for SAP Data Intelligence. Therefore I run only test scenarios which need to be run, to pass the SAP Data Intelligence validation. The scenarios need for passing the validation are just used to validate that the underlying infrastructure is fulfilling the SAP requirements.

The best user experience when setting up SAP Data Intelligence is when leveraging the cloud experience. This makes setup easy, integration is doable depending on compliance and governance within the organization. Unfortunately this is less suitable for on premises installations, where setup into the environment can be quite time consuming.

When you’re working with huge datasets or in our case when we were working with data from a Data Lake we had data coming in from multiple sources and SAP was used to do transformations on the Staging Data, it particularly helped us in this scenario and to make very thorough reports once Trend Analysis was done was one such amazing feature.

Scenario:Landscape Transformation from Oracle to SAP S/4 HANA.SAP Migration Cockpit used for Data Migration.Used Staging Table approach to Migrate the data and create the relevant data in the Target S/4 HANA System.SAP Data Intelligence was used to bring data from the source system to SAP Migration Cockpit. The data was extracted from the Oracle Database in the Source by creating SAP Data Intelligence Pipelines or Graphs and then updated in the Staging Table for the corresponding Migration Objects in the SAP Migration Cockpit.

Data Intelligence is the perfect tool to be used in such scenarios where source is a non SAP System.

It is an amazing tool to have if you are already in SAP tool suite and can help you manage a lot of data management services like data pipeline, data governance, data profiling and providing data insights. It can be very insightful tool when integrated with ERP systems and other SAP products.

SAP Data Intelligence is helpful for unification of data from diverse sources permitting extended access to data. It ensures that we can effectively integrate data through its seamless connection with SAP as well as with with a few systems outside the SAP landscape. It has made our data discovery and analytics much easier via the dynamic self service analytics it offers.
