I use Serpstat to manage SEO for the website. It has helped me find the relevant keywords and am able to track competitors as well in their dashboard. I like that I can have 5 projects with their basic program which saves my business money.
  • Find the right keywords
  • Help me see what competitors are using
  • Helps me produce better content
  • The only thing I do not like about Serpstat that it uses a "credit" system to pull down keywords. I would love to see a "warning" screen that tells you all your credits will be gone in this crawl.
  • If it were a little easier to use
The only thing I do not like about Serpstat that it uses a "credit" system to pull down keywords. I would love to see a "warning" screen that tells you all your credits will be gone in this crawl. However, their support service is fabulous in responding and I was able to get help to use their program better. I had used Semrush prior but it was getting very expensive so I made the switch several months ago.

  • It has had a positive impact on my ROI as articles are ranking better.
  • I feel more confident doing the SEO for the website
I selected Serpstat because it offered a lot of things like Semrush but for half the money and it offered more than Ubersuggest had been offering. I also loved the support service I received from Serpstat. They get back to you quickly and have answers to your questions. They are very helpful. I've increased my visibility online and made more money since using their program. A great return on investment!

Managing SEO for the content of the website and marketing.
1
Knowledge of SEO and ability to write content for the web and be found in the search results. Also a knowledge of marketing and blogging tactics to go along with it.
  • keyword research
  • competitor research
  • Site audit to fix technical errors as well
  • Writing better content that gets found in the search results
  • To do more competitor research and link exchanges
I am very happy with the program and their services.
Yes
I replaced Semrush with Serpstat due to increased costs.
  • Ease of Use
The cost and ease of use. However, I must say the support I received from Serpstat has been superb and they have been a big help to me in getting the right things for my usage of the SEO tool. I like that I can log in daily with ease and know what is going on with my keywords as well with the competitors. It helps me plan out my content better.
I wouldn't change it. I kept Semrush while I began Serpstat to be sure about the decision to make the switch to save money. It was a pleasant surprise when I discovered how great their customer support was along the way. And then I increased my return on investment, so I am very pleased with my decision to make the switch.
I love the customer support from Serpstat, they are quick and even did a one-on-one training session for me.
No
Yes, when I wanted to learn how to use it more effectively.
It is pretty easy to use as an SEO tool as I've used a few others prior.
  • Getting the keyword research
  • Researching competitors
  • Tracking keywords on daily basis

We use Serpstat to find great new keywords to target for rankings, uncover competitor backlinks, and track our websites' rankings over time to see how well our SEO is working. Serpstat a powerful suite of tools. That work well together to help you quickly figure out ways to get more traffic (by finding high-potential keywords) how to build authority (by uncovering competitors' sites backlinks and mimicking and outperforming when possible), and measuring results (by seeing how your site is moving in Google's results).
  • Solid keyword research functionality
  • Generous rank tracking limits
  • Kind of expensive, but more generous limits than other more costly tools
  • Not as many website/competitor backlinks shown as Ahrefs
If you're interested in ranking better for more keywords and generating more traffic, Serpstat is a great tool--if you've got the budget for it. It's not expensive for a lot of small to mid-sized companies, but if you're running a really small business and trying to grow, the monthly cost could be a bit steep--but it's much better than not having any tools and going at optimization blindly. It's also more affordable than some of the bigger competitors and offers comparable functionality. The site audit feature can help you identify weak areas of your site from a technical standpoint (though there are more thorough site audit tools available). The backlink analysis can help you see how your competitors are ranking well.

  • Serpstat has helped us uncover dozens of low-competition, decent-volume keywords that we've been able to rank for to drive traffic--we easily doubled organic traffic volume over six months after getting started with Serpstat.
  • Serpstat has allowed us to uncover competitors' backlink strategies, which have helped us with our own backlinking for a fraction of the cost of Ahrefs and similar - hard to tell ROI. Still, rankings have improved, and we've saved on the monthly expenses.
Moz and Ahrefs are each behemoth in their own right and are certainly two of the top SEO tool companies in the market. While they may outperform Serpstat as far as data goes, Serpstat does offer a lot of features and functionality at a fraction of the price. I would love to have subscriptions to Moz and Ahrefs, but for the information that Serpstat returns and at its price point, it's a handy tool, especially for smaller companies that don't have big budgets for their SEO research.
I believe I've only contacted support once because I had a question about access to a feature, and they told me it wasn't available on the plan I was on. No big deal, they were polite and prompt to respond and answered my question to my satisfaction. I haven't had any real issues with the software, so I haven't needed much in the way of support outside of that question, but I have no reason to believe their support wouldn't be helpful in more pressing situations.
