Community Insights

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Users commonly recommend the following when it comes to the program:

  1. Thoroughly explore the program before making a decision. It is important to know what features you are looking for and thoroughly explore the program before making a decision. Some features may not be customizable, and there are other products available that offer more features. Additionally, personalized advice and expertise come at an additional cost.

  2. Ensure necessary reports are available and keep tech support for the first year. It is advised to ensure that all the necessary reports are available in the program and not assume that it has everything needed. It is also recommended to keep tech support for at least the first year as there might be some clunkiness in the program.

  3. Customize and familiarize with the program to fully benefit from it. Users encourage giving the program a chance, even though it may seem complicated at first. Once customized and familiarized with, they believe it becomes indispensable, providing necessary information for reporting purposes. It is considered a great tool for keeping church records.

These recommendations highlight the importance of thoroughly exploring the program, ensuring necessary features and reports are available, and customizing/familiarizing oneself with it to maximize its benefits.

I use Servant Keeper to manage donors and track donations for my non-profit organization. Servant Keeper solves the problem of having a good way to manage donors effectively, meaning, besides tracking donations so I can easily produce year end giving statements, it also allows me to run reports by every imaginable filter.....geographically, by program supported, and lots of others. It makes it easy to send emails to all the donors or specific target groups. It is a very powerful tool for donor management.
  • tracks donations for year end giving statements with donation details
  • makes emailing all donors super easy
  • produces labels for mailing newsletters
  • tracks donations by categories I set up
  • you can modify the input boxes to fit your needs....this is especially helpful as I am not a church and it is primarily set up for churches to use.
  • you can create custom reports and save them for future use
  • There is too much clicking! Could be MUCH more effective if less clicking was required. This is my biggest complaint! It's not a deterrent to purchasing, and it does not affect its functionality, but is an annoyance that could EASILY be fixed.
  • It can be cumbersome to figure out how to use features but is pretty user friendly.
This software was created for use by churches BUT because you can customize the fields, it has been very effective for other non-profit use. Workshops are geared for church users so I don't usually attend those. It has a LOT of functionality. I am able to import my data from Quickbooks as I utilize that product as well. Since I am not a church and my chart of accounts is pretty complex, I have found it easier to import from Quickbooks rather than the other way around. It is easier for me to control the accounting side of things by doing this way.
  • easy year end statement production
  • easy email to target groups of donors
  • customizable reports
  • customizable input boxes
  • Because I use the desktop version, there was literally a one time cost and it has given me years of use and function.
  • It has improved my ability to communicate easily and effectively with donors
I don't remember the names but I evaluated other church donor software and Servant Keeper offered the most bang for your buck. It had amazing funtionality but not a super high price tag.
