RedCarpet has been utilized by several organizations, including Polk State, VendorPass, LPR, and American Dental Partners, to streamline their employee onboarding processes and enhance efficiency while ensuring consistency. SilkRoad Onboarding, also known as RedCarpet, simplifies the onboarding experience for new hires by eliminating the need for paper forms and enabling the tracking and reviewing of completed forms. This not only saves time but also allows for a more organized and seamless onboarding process.
Moreover, RedCarpet serves as a helpful reminder system for new employees, assisting them in preparing for their first day by completing necessary paperwork in advance. By automating pre-boarding and onboarding procedures and eliminating the reliance on manual paper-based forms, RedCarpet empowers organizations to effectively manage their payroll processing ahead of time.
In addition to its benefits for new employees, RedCarpet plays a vital role in supporting managers and HR teams. By automating tasks, it enhances their efficiency and ensures compliance with established procedures. Its versatility is evident as it is used across various organizational settings such as stores, home offices, and distribution centers in Canada.
Overall, RedCarpet streamlines processes, reduces manual workloads, promotes compliance, and ultimately contributes to a positive onboarding experience for both employees and employers alike.

Stop buyers remorse using SilkRoad Onboarding!
- SilkRoad Onboarding (RedCarpet) has simplified hiring across our organization. SilkRoad Onboarding (RedCarpet) allows all new hires to have the same consistent experience integrating into our College and culture. Employees receive emails and log in before their first day of hire, which eliminates the "cold feet" employees sometimes get before beginning their first days. The video content allows for a welcome from our president. Information and resources are shared in both our College and city, so employees can begin to connect to both.
- Employees can begin filling out their forms before their first day, rather than sitting in HR to complete everything. Email notifications are generated to employees with task reminders. Emails are also sent to the manager and to other departments to allow time to order name tags and business cards, grant computer access, prepare work areas, etc. so employees feel that we care enough to prepare for their arrival.
- I highly recommend SilkRoad Onboarding (RedCarpet) from a cost-saving and employee engagement standpoint. It has been an effective tool for our organization and allows us to be more strategic in our new talent connections and engagement.
- Ability to email and assign tasks to teams across the organization, so we are prepared for the employee's first day.
- It provides consistent onboarding, so new hires can access information and become familiar with our organization before their first day.
- Ideally there would be a job description connected for a new hire learning plan.
- Transitions for existing employee role changes can be difficult to manage.
- Faster integration of new hires into our culture.
- Quicker hiring process, since forms are begun prior to start date.
A great tool to make life easier
- Ability to customize tasks and notifications.
- Looks great for candidates.
- Automates tasks to alleviate administrative burden.
- Could have better training available for admin users.
- Has eliminated a ton of manual work.
- Eliminated I9 errors.
Can see the potential, if was fully functional.
- RedCarpet is a great system for notifications. It will let you and the employee know if there are items that still need to be completed.
- RedCarpet is very handy for getting a headstart on paperwork that needs to be completed and stores it all in one place. It's very easy to access completed paperwork and print it out if necessary.
- RedCarpet is user friendly from the employee side. It's easy to use and navigate through the tabs and task lists.
- Tech support is one major issue. We have problems with single sign on and silkroad is not very good with response time or keeping us posted on if they are working on our issue.
- RedCarpet won't let us set up the talent portal at a later time. This causes some issues and confuses our new employees on how to access the onboarding portal.
- Once we switch an employee over to single sign on, they are no longer able to access or complete any tasks.
- We have to send out lists of compatible browsers with our welcome emails as not all people have chrome and will have to download it in order to even login and use RedCarpet.
- Faster, smoother onboarding process since you can set due dates for when paperwork and tasks need to be completed.
- Has decreased employee efficiency with all the problems we've had rolling out the program (technical wise)
- Adding new employees to events is easy.
- Accessing completed forms or searching for employees is easy.
- Creating events and tasts is easy.
- Adding forms to tasks
- Figuring out the correct notifications. You either get a million notification, or too few.
