  • Similarweb gives details about traffic share by country; therefore, it gives us a clear idea about traffic segregation on a country basis
  • Similarweb also gives us demographic data, which helps us analyze the users who are visiting the website and helps us determine our target audience
  • Recently, SimilarWeb has also introduced audience overlap data, which helps us to analyse shared unique visitors over time and the website's audience loyalty
Cons
  • There are a lot of functionalities that have been in beta for a long period of time
  • Desktop Demographics: Age (Traffic Share) and Desktop Demographics: Gender (Traffic Share) are not available on website. User has to access API sheet for the same
  • Similarly, Mobile Web Demographics: Age (Traffic Share)
  • Mobile Web Demographics: Gender (Traffic Share) are not available on website pull

  • The biggest disadvantage of Similarweb Pro is the limited amount of data it can show. It only shows the basic information about a website such as how many pages it has, how many visitors it receives, how many emails it sends, and how many ad views it has. This can be a limiting factor if you want to do advanced
  • Doesn't work well for website that has small traffic volumes. It can suggest very odd competitors to benchmark.
  • The data, particularly in terms of page view and session volume, is usually not even directionally accurate.
