SiteGlide has been widely used for a variety of purposes and has received positive feedback from users, reviewers, and customers. One common use case is the creation of Product Information Management systems with multiple digital experience interfaces and integration with external Digital Asset Management tools. This has greatly simplified the management of technical information about diverse product ranges, reducing the effort involved and resulting in more efficient operations.

Another use case is the rapid creation of management portals for startup online projects. The platform's easy-to-use and powerful APIs allow for seamless interaction with external systems, enabling users to quickly develop customized portals. The close integration with bootstrap further enhances the process by providing access to templated portal sites that are visually appealing and user-friendly. Additionally, SiteGlide has been instrumental in facilitating the migration of clients from Adobe Business Catalyst, seamlessly integrating website activity and data with other online services.

Beyond these specific use cases, SiteGlide offers numerous benefits such as better integrated product subscriptions in e-commerce, improved shipping and pricing customization options, store layout capabilities, and cross-product selling. It also excels in API creation and management, enabling users to set up APIs within minutes and easily add authentication and necessary logic to API endpoints. Notably, the openness and flexibility of the platform allow for customized layouts, designs, and workflow notifications based on specific requirements.

Moreover, SiteGlide has proven invaluable in complex integrations with other platforms through API automation workflows. It facilitates the collection of valuable customer information and seamless integration with relevant teams, improving overall workflows. The platform also serves as an exceptional solution for bespoke website building, empowering web developers and digital agencies to create basic or complex customized builds tailored to their clients' needs.

The possibilities with SiteGlide extend far beyond basic static websites as it offers a comprehensive solution that goes beyond what WordPress can achieve. Its powerful features like POS liquid/graphql/aws provide an elegant admin panel capable of developing powerful websites. Whether it's building a marketplace-style site to connect property owners with other companies or managing websites that demand interactivity, SiteGlide enables easy management, categorization, and display of items in web app databases.

Overall, SiteGlide has proven to be a solid replacement for Adobe Business Catalyst, offering enhanced functionality in areas such as security, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility. It provides a secure environment for high-performing sites, design flexibility, easy connectivity to third parties, and end-user features that customers appreciate. The platform has successfully reduced the cost of website management while simplifying the underlying code for easier maintenance. This has made SiteGlide a reliable solution for website management, particularly for clients transitioning from Adobe Business Catalyst.

With its flexibility and speed of deployment, SiteGlide has gained popularity among users. Its modular nature allows for the rapid construction of bespoke functionality, making it a preferred choice for developers. Furthermore, customers have benefited from SiteGlide's full styling capabilities, enabling them to design and build the platform according to their specific needs. Fast Speed and Built-in SEO: The speed of the platform is highly praised by users, who also value that important considerations like SEO are built right in. Reviewers appreciate the stability and reliability of SiteGlide, as well as its future-proof design.

Seamless Integration with API: Users are impressed by how easily they can access and manipulate data via API on SiteGlide, enabling seamless integration with other platforms. The diverse data structures combined with inline liquid allow for rapid generation of different digital experiences depending on the user's needs.

Limited Functionality for SEO: Several users have encountered a limitation in the platform's functionality when it comes to maintaining SEO. They mention that they are unable to use a webapp's base URL directly, resulting in the need to set up multiple URL redirects. Despite praising the excellent support team for resolving most issues quickly, they feel that certain essential aspects of the system should be reviewed more thoroughly by the support team.

The recommendations from users of Siteglide can be summarized as follows:

  1. Become familiar with Liquid and GraphQL for dealing with complex systems. This will help users effectively handle the intricacies of their websites.

  2. Check out the API of Siteglide to access additional functionality and customization options.

  3. Take the opportunity to chat with Siteglide and a local Agency Partner to gain valuable insights and guidance.

These recommendations emphasize the importance of mastering programming languages, exploring advanced features, and seeking expert assistance to fully utilize Siteglide's capabilities.

Siteglide has been very useful in migrating several websites away from Adobe Business Catalyst as they approach EOL. The migration process has been fairly straightforward, and in many cases, the underlying code has been simplified and made easier to maintain. Since I'm a solo entrepreneur, Siteglide has been a great tool to have available during the migration. I've been able to quickly migrate the sites, and expect to have better responsiveness and uptime as a result of the Siteglide / Platform OS integration.
  • Adobe Business Catalyst Migration
  • Client Support and Responsiveness to questions and issues
  • Product Improvement and Feature Upgrades and Additions
  • Documentation is well maintained and updated frequently
  • Early adopters have access to excellent billing plans
  • Some features are still under development
  • Billing plans occasionally cost more than competition, mainly because of the way Platform OS works
  • "Drag and Drop" website building and maintenance could be improved in order to compete with other site-builders. Less reliance on knowing HTML, CSS, Liquid, Javascript, etc. would be a good direction to go in the future.
As already mentioned, migrating websites from Adobe Business Catalyst, or any other platform is a strength. Using the Siteglide CLI, websites can be migrated as a static site to Siteglide, thus greatly reducing the amount of work necessary for the migration. Also, as long as developers are acquainted with HTML, CSS, Liquid, and Javascript, building sites with Siteglide can be done rapidly using their Siteglide Studio site builder.
One of the additional strengths of Siteglide is Webapps. These can be easily used to provide the display and manipulation of dynamic data. The site can be designed so that users can change information without knowing anything about the underlying code. It allows a form-driven way to update site pages.

  • I was able to migrate sites quickly from Adobe Business Catalyst - saved a lot of time
  • Some sites were migrated in place without client knowledge or involvement - and no business disruption.
  • Initial learning curve caused a couple of "redos".
WordPress was used on one migration of a complex site as a test of the capabilities of both WordPress / Elementor and the WordHerd migration service. It went very well but did take a long time to get what the client wanted, mostly due to the fact that they wanted a complete redesign. The downside of WordPress is plug-in management, which is nearly constant and at one time broke some functionality. Siteglide does not have these issues, as plugins are controlled and tested -- and are functions that are built-in.

I also used Duda to migrate several sites where the client wanted a redesign, but also a site design refresh. This works best with smaller sites, and there are no automated migration tools, such as in Siteglide.
WordPress, Adobe Business Catalyst (Discontinued)
There could be an improvement for "non-programmers" and drag and drop editing. However, Siteglide's target market of website development agencies is well served and a great fit. Sites can be migrated from other platforms quickly and easily. New responsive websites can be developed quickly using Siteglide Studio and then robust functionality can be built out quickly and reliably. There is a wide range of features included in Siteglide and more features and upgrades are being rapidly added. The environment is built on a stable and performance-oriented platform. This allows agencies to provide excellent service on a worldwide basis.
Very responsive and a great system in place to facilitate communication.

The ability to migrate websites from Adobe Business Catalyst and replace (or upgrade) existing functionality.
No real changes. Different tools had strengths and weaknesses, and Siteglide's strengths were well fitted to the sites that I migrated from Adobe BC.
