Skedda is used for meeting room bookings throughout our 4 offices in England and Wales. It allows users to manage their own room bookings at their convenience and gives the administrators in each office the necessary information to handle those meetings as needed. When looking for a solution I needed something that would give the users ownership of their bookings, allowing them to see the availability of all the spaces and make a booking as and when they needed it rather than having to wait on the admin teams to pick up on emails and Skedda delivers that. The customization options in Skedda means I can set the system up however I need, with flexibility to make changes when the need arises which other systems were lacking when I was testing them.

We use Skedda to book out rehearsal spaces for theatre companies and individuals in our 20,000 sq ft venue in the heart of London. Users can also book themselves in directly 2 weeks-in advance. We have over 30 companies using the spaces every week.

Skedda is incredibly user-friendly and self-explanatory. We have had only a handful of people ask us further questions on how to use it. You can also load it very easily on the phone so it's perfect for what we had in mind: people checking if a last-minute rehearsal space has become available and are able to quickly book it. The amount of data we are able to gather via Skedda booking forms is great as well - from diversity to access needs and information about what people are doing in the spaces.

  • For non tech users, instructions on creating tags would be useful. Maybe I missed this.
Great that staff can book their own tables so easily.

One thing that would be useful that isn't already on the system to my knowledge, is it would be good if users of the system are sent a reminder on the day that they have booked a table. This reminder could also include a 'confirm table in use' and 'confirm table not required' button. This would then also prompt them to cancel the booking on that same day if they no longer need the booked workspace. Otherwise, this is left to the 'Owner' on Skedda to keep a check that desks are not being blocked by users who have not turned up at the office, thus preventing other users from making use of that workspace.

Skedda allows people to register for these areas without us having to manage too much information and allows us to keep their booking information separate from the rest of the information we collect for the organization.

It is easy to use and manage. We are able to track who was in the office on what day and exactly where they were seated in our hot desk environment. The Skedda support team is very helpful and quick to react to requests and changes.

He's an excellent resource and he's been a consummate professional as he helped me to add resources (new maps and spaces). His video responses enabled me to better understand how to complete the config on my side. He has a wonderful demeanor, and I felt compelled to let you know.

Since the pandemic, we have introduced Agile Working in our office. and reduced our desk spaces from 80 to 45. This meant that we had to find a solution to fit our needs, which enables the team to book their desks when they know they will be in the office. The setting up of Skedda was so easy, and the Skedda team (particularly Patrick) were just brilliant to deal with. Really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The interface is so user friendly, that hardly any training was needed to roll out Skedda to the employees. Everyone has picked it up really easily and it has become ingrained in their day to day working life. It gives everyone a clear view of who is in the office, and which desk they are sitting at, and there are no issues when everyone comes to the office - as everyone has their booked desk to use! I highly recommend Skedda for companies who are looking for a more agile solution to their office working.

We established a hybrid model during covid and this increased our need for a booking system. Previously, we had used it to manage meeting rooms and common areas, as well as shared resources - such as monitors. The ability for users to look after their own schedules has freed up a lot of time and demanding organizational work from receptionists and managers.

It has been best suited for the management of personal schedules - our staff book the days they want to work at specific desks. We need to be able to facilitate many different staff members coming and going on a daily basis. Skedda has allowed us to section off different areas to different teams and resources, as well as specific booking rules for each of those areas. Previously this was a very manual process but it is all automated and easily controlled with the backend settings.

We are able to manage people coming in and out of the office so easily now. Even before Covid, we had problems with managing the availability of workspaces. That is not an issue anymore - people can book as they wish and we have customized our rules to best suit our office.

Really great for us for allowing staff to look after their own bookings. We have saved so much time filling out spreadsheets. Our company used Skedda for booking parking spaces in numbered parking lots behind our building. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our company canceled all of their accounts within a large parking garage nearby and resorted to only keeping spaces in two small lots behind the building. Because of how small they were, and the fact that people were beginning to come back into the office, they needed a quick solution to reserving parking spaces due to the limited spots available.

Following the pandemic, we have been working towards a hybrid working culture where we have to book our desks when we go into the office. I have found Skedda incredibly easy to navigate and use. The platform seems flexible enough to meet our requirements.

Skedda is currently being used to manage a number of key hotdesking locations within our 3 building estate, as well as our new Research Labs. With new changes to the management of room occupancy needed following COVID19. Skedda provided the exact service that we needed.

  • Provides us with useful space utilisation data that enables us to make our estate safer and more energy efficient.
  • Only one account can be setup as the overall owner of the system with control to adjust key settings. It would be good if more than one owner could be assigned to spread out the workload, without the need to for a shared account.
Our Estate includes several rooms which were originally static office rooms, but have now been converted into hotdesking areas.
These new rooms must be flexible enough to allow multiple users to share spaces safely, while also only allowing authorised users to access the desks. Skedda gives us the flexibility to do both, it provides the access we need, and has built in access management management functionality that allows us to manage these spaces automatically.
