Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

It's very easy to use and straightforward. Once your database is set up, there aren't many buttons you need to click or be aware of. Using Threads is useful because you can keep all of your direct conversations together. The mobile app works great as well.

I gave it an overall 8 out of 10 rating because it is difficult to use on mobile. I love the desktop version though and use that all the time. It gives notifications if I miss something, too. In general, I prefer the desktop version anyways because I have a larger screen and it's easier to read and respond in the platform from there.

The tools is great in so many aspects! It saves me loads of time, it saves the company money not having to hire communication experts, and it makes sure to save the most important info on one place.

However though, the search function needs to improve together with the filter options how I can search for a specific text i'm looking for.

I find slack very intuitive and easy to use, so someone that has never used it before can quickly learn how it works without any issues. The design and the way it's organised is very helpful, you can also custom the layout and choose different colours.

It’s fairly simple to use and it’s so well used chances are new employees have used it before. But I do appreciate how it makes it super easy to empower people to create channels and groups, set up work flows and communicate with one another. I just wish there was a bit more knowledge sharing and enablement pings so people could get better at Slack knowledge

To my knowledge, apart from maybe Discord, there is no other chat apps that are as complete as Slack.
The fact that you can customize it and integrate it with other popular apps, makes it quite 360 degrees.
It's perfect for big organization to keep control of their internal communication, while having the possibility to invite external users.

I find Slack is very easy and intuitive to use. Our team is mostly remote with team members in multiple countries; Slack is central to our communications. It's good for both instantaneous and asynchronous communications. Organizing conversations by topic and project, as well as good search functionality, makes it easy to find the information I need.

Once the user is acquainted with Slack, it's very easy to use. Everything I need is easily accessible, and the UI is self-explanatory. There are a lot of features available in Slack, but if one chooses not to use them, they're neatly tucked away and don't interfere with everyday use.

Applications can cause slowdown when onboarding because of the learning curve. Slack is user friendly and very easy to teach new users how to navigate the app. Installation is fairly quick, which also saves a lot of time when setting up new computers and users.

It is so simple to use, children in school could use it to communicate during this virtual learning time we are in. It's a perfect tool to get a group of people on a secured network and program to be able to communicate properly and effectively to complete overall task!

I'm glad we have access to this tool, but it's very annoying to have to keep track of messages here as well as in email. [I] wish it was integrated into Gmail somehow.

Some of the positives of slack are
  • Slack offers a platform for app integration, which helps in managing the whole of an organization's activities in once place, bethey calendars, Trello, Google Drive cloud, GitHub, Gmail, or Bluejeans
  • GitHub is a boon to developers and managers to track the issues in the code
Negatives are
  • Storage space offered initially is low and once it's over, all the data is encrypted and saved on Slack. The user has to pay to get that data back from the slack

As long as you use the basic chat features and nothing more, it really is super easy to understand and use. Once you want to take advantage of some of the more advanced features and capabilities, that's when things get complicated. Anyone who has use SMS or a chat program before will be able to figure out the basics though, so rolling this out should be relatively straightforward and not required exhaustive training. Teaching chat etiquette is something else though.
