  • User interface options (web, mobile, application on PC) and overall look and feel with the color schemes are great
  • 2FA with Google Authenticator is reliable and works flawlessy
  • During screenshares, possibility to highlight items (or draw) in real time is awesome
  • Video conferencing could be better for quality, audio-video synchronization
  • Slack could do a better job implementing security in the product in ways that would make it acceptable by enterprise ITs more easily
  • Slackbot is sometimes highlighting users annoyingly

  • The user interface - Slack has one of the best user interfaces I've seen on a messaging app. It's small, lightweight, and well-organized.
  • Integration with Other Apps - Slack allows you to integrate with other apps like Google Calendar, Drive, and Zoom. I never have to miss a meeting now :-)
  • Slack has a mobile application that works just as well as the desktop version.
  • File sharing - With Slack, file sharing and attachments have never been easier.
  • Huddle - That's right, it has a calling feature built right into the app ( for both audio and video )
  • Notification system - It has a well-designed notification system. Never overlook a message or a mention. You can also choose what kind of notification you want to receive. You can even use DND mode to disable notifications.
  • You can create drafts to send out later.
  • Slack can be RAM and battery hungry, and it can slow down when used heavily.
  • The audio and video call capabilities could be improved to provide greater clarity.
  • It's quite expensive. Old messages are deleted after a certain period of time in the free versions.

  • Channels are easy to access and follow the posts
  • Great apps to install and centralize your activities
  • With the tool "circle" it's possible to simulate the face to face interactions of the office
  • Sometimes the program just frozen, probably when it is overloaded but it is annoying
  • Once in a while, it automatically disconnects from the google calendar app, without any action from the user.

  • The communication channels have an excellent notification system. Notifications in Slack are one of the things that make it a very beneficial software, because I can be attentive to any movement of the chat channels, also, I can know when I am being mentioned in any of the channels.
  • The transfer of images is completely effective, it does not diminish the quality of the images that are transferred through the chat channels.
  • The application for mobile devices is very complete, I have general access to all the chats that exist within my company, in addition, I also have the ability to reply to messages from this application.
  • The communication channels can be accessed by any employee of any sector, this facilitates the communication of the various sectors and achieves that all sectors can share information between them.
  • The main problem we have had with using Slack is in relation to its word search system. This platform offers us a search system since on many occasions, some messages are lost during long conversations, however, this search system is not as effective since it only shows the most recent words of the search and does not show all of the results. It is important to note that a deeper and more exact search would help us find messages faster.

  • The main feature that I love about Slack is the section below the main panel, where I can access unread messages, specific threads of conversations and also gives me access to all the mentions that have been during my downtime . In addition, I also have a visualization of the messages saved in this section, so I have everything in one place, everything very organized.
  • Slack has an excellent integration with the Marketing system of our company, in this way we can have a wide administration of emails and marketing automation while conducting a team conversation. This integration is quite functional and has a very notable success for our Marketing sector, we can have long conversations while managing the marketing, all from one place.
  • I love the notification system that Slack has, it's the great synchronization it has. Slack allows me to receive notifications on all devices linked to my Slack account, which helps me receive notifications on my phone and also on my desktop computer. These notifications are sent simultaneously, which allows me to be active and view all the movement that occurs in the chat channels.
  • The main problem we have in Slack is that conversations sometimes get out of control and there is no way to regulate this, there is no configuration that controls the amount of messages or the general volume of messages that can be in a channel, which causes our employees to have long topics of conversation that disrupt productivity. I would like to be able to regulate this with some Slack configuration.
  • Slack's search system is one of the features that doesn't work successfully. This search system has a long delay when I insert a word in the search, it takes a long time to perform the search, in addition, it does not show all the results of the searched word, it only shows the most outstanding and most recent results.

  • Its extensions support many software and make it easy to use with other software.
  • It supports all platforms.
  • More features for sending photos or data than traditional email.
  • Channel helps to arrange messages in a better way.
  • Options for formatting of text in messages are not very diverse.
  • Slackbot doesn't work as planned most of the time.

  • It is highly customizable and can be customized exactly to one's liking.
  • The Channels feature is really good. A Channel is like a group where discussion is held but it can be public, private, shared, or multi-workspace, which can help one to really organize the messages .
  • It has really good security and data is transferred safely.
  • It is pretty simple and it is easy to learn how to use it.
  • Many apps can be integrated in it.
  • Even though Channels are a great feature, it is hard to keep track of multiple conversations that are happening within company.
  • Multiple Channels means people can create channels for fun and slack off during work.
  • It is clumsy for large projects.

  • 1:1 communication
  • Group communication
  • Backlog of important information
  • Search functionality can always be improved (although its already so much better)
  • It's too much work to leave a channel with the new update. Way too many clicks
  • Warn me before I join or leave a channel if there will be a notice posted

  • Easy to use. Nice UI and UX.
  • Get a notification for every message that we receive.
  • Can form a small group to communicate with others while working on a common project.
  • No automatic messaging send option available.
  • Sometimes message notifications are received with some delay.

  • It is an excellent project management tool.
  • Slack has improved our communication workflow with our team and improved the way we interact with clients.
  • The translation tool allows us to communication in different languages, without the need to open google translator.
  • It has numerous integrations that allow for third-party apps to interact, create, and receive messages and alerts.
  • The tool takes up a lot of battery especially if you are using a lot of channels and rooms.
  • Storage is very limited.
  • The messages takes time updating.
  • The video collaboration tools aren't very intuitive.

  • Bots
  • Advanced shortcuts
  • Automation
  • Customized reactions
  • The left panel looks too crowded; I think the starred channel should be the first one
  • Ability to send short audio messages without a third-party app; built features should be faster considering that Slack has phone/call feature
  • Search results are sometimes confusing; too much information, perhaps Slack team can improve the UI

  • Clean, intuitive UI.
  • Easy, custom functionality development.
  • Notifications can be overwhelming at times. It would be great to have a smarter way of filtering.
  • Channels may get unwieldy. Better ability to prioritize would be helpful.

  • I like Slack channels. They are perhaps my favorite part of Slack as they allow us to organize our discussions and activity along specific topics, projects, and subjects of interests.
  • Our conversations are a lot more organized and focused.
  • Video conferencing capability
  • Seamless integration with third-party software applications
  • Adding images in graphics interchange format (gif) to my conversations could be a lot easier, without needing to always look up how to do it.
  • The Slack mobile application is limited in terms of its integration with third-party tools.

  • Threading on messages
  • Integration with other apps
  • File sharing and search
  • Better video support (was often glitchy, unlike Zoom)
  • Better rule for enterprise version, where no private conversations are actually private
  • Too easy to create many private rooms and have to search for which one was active

  • It expedites internal customer service among busy departments, aiding us to give our candidates the best experience.
  • The channel feature is awesome because we have so many little projects and to have a channel where you can communicate solely with the necessary parties is just great.
  • I like the variety of emoticons as well because they can be so expressive where words might be too strong.
  • There are a lot of applications that work in tandem with Slack and I've found them a little hard to maneuver. I wish they were easier to use or there was a little more guidance.
  • The status feature is almost lost amongst everything else that goes on in Slack. There are times when you are really busy and won't be able to respond immediately or times when you are on a trip, etc. Having the desktop and mobile features active sometimes confuse the audience and I wish it was easier or if there was a more dynamic status function and maybe there is and I've just yet to discover it.
  • I had an issue recently where I couldn't change the name of a channel, but I had to delete it and create a new one. Too much work.
