- It contains all the diagnostics information that you need for optimization of queries, deep analysis of SQL server state, and much more
- Regular deployment of a new versions with minor fixes but mainly with the new features.
- It helps to make operational decisions, how to improve the performance and also expansion of the whole environment.
- Buying this also contains excellent service from the Woodler support.
- There is a lot of information and if you want to exploit it for 100%, you need some basic SQL administration knowledge at least. Maybe some "Lite" version with KPI's and warnings for some smaller companies would be appreciated.
- Some deep searching and some screens are a little bit confusing for the first time and you need to put the things into consequences to get the final result.

Woodler SMT is great SQL Server performance monitoring ecosystem. I compared the Woodler SMT monitoring with native SQL Server's monitoring tools. The benefit of the Woodler SMT is that it offers [a] more descriptive interpretation of all information gathered regarding performance issues. It makes SMT extremely useful for people who [are] not SQL Server expert. I also appreciated support along from Woodler company along [with] the Woodler SMT tool. This is an [invaluable] benefit because it helps users to avoid misinterpretations of information provided by the tool itself. Shortly, with Woodler SMT the DBA is never lost and helpless.

- 24/7 assistance from SQL professionals
- Great insights into a behavior of each SQL Server instance in a company
- Too [much] information for [inexperienced] users (but this is [a] very common issue with SQL Server and its monitoring)

Even if Solarwinds's solution is [a] highly competitive, worldwide known product while Woodler SMT was developed by [a] small local company, both provide very comparable output for DBAs. I did not make an experience with "living human" support from Solarwinds, but in my opinion, the Woodler's personal support makes the advantage when the choice between both products [has] to be done.
