SnapLogic supports self-service integration. The company’s Enterprise Integration Cloud promises to make it fast and easy to connect applications, data, APIs, and things. The vendor says that hundreds of Global 2000 customers — including Adobe, AstraZeneca, Box, GameStop, Verizon, and Wendy’s — use SnapLogic to automate business processes, accelerate analytics, and drive digital transformation. SnapLogic was founded by data industry veteran Gaurav Dhillon and is backed by blue-chip investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Capital One, Ignition Partners, Microsoft, Triangle Peak Partners, and Vitruvian Partners.

  • SnapLogic cannot solve business problems and you still need a technical person to solve the complex integration issues.
  • Our business bought SnapLogic thinking this could replace our current ETL tools such as Informatica. But SnapLogic falls short in a lot of features when compared to Informatica. Later our business decided not to replace Informatica.
  • SnapLogic promised to solve big data integration problems, but we did not find a suitable solution that can solve our problems of data integration using SnapLogic (for instance, it could not parse parquet nested file).

  • We had a positive impact at our organization where handful of developers were able to integrate more than 50 systems in less than a year. It has helped us a lot by providing access to data that was previously not possible or unimaginable or get in such easy format.
  • The only place where it didn't have a positive impact was for a realtime application integration project requiring on the fly aggregations, wherein this tool claimed it could do it but wasn't able to.

  • Positive Impact - allows us to reach out to webservices and third party vendor's APIs.
  • Positive Impact - allows us to have different ETL environments, all in the cloud.
  • Negative impact - Has a good learning curve and not many online tutorials. So users have to spend time playing around before understanding how to do things.
