Solarwinds support team is well organized and educated. I got a resolution for all my opened cases. The only drawback I can mention is long response time. Additionally to the official TAC, Solarwinds has a good expert community where is possible to ask any questions and find a lot of answers.

Support is easy to contact and very knowledgeable about their products. Never had an issue reaching them, even when they had their own breach. Working with them over the phone or online seems to work identically. We have never talked with a representative who was not knowledgeable about the product or had a difficult time understanding what our problem was during the call.

On a scale of 1-10, the rating we would give for SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) would be a 9 out of 10. The rating is based on our Organization's regular use, total dependency, and continual support for SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) and SolarWinds products during the past decade.

I know we could probably pay for it, but it would be nice if we could get to a tier 2 technician faster. Spending a couple of hours on the phone with the level 1 technician, when we have already tried the troubleshooting they are walking us through, is just a waste of time.

[In my opinion,] SolarWinds support is terrible. [In my experience,] it takes them 48-72 hours to respond, and most [of] the time they send you a link to a web article that may or may not resolve your issue.

It is useful for our Infrastructure team and also provides valuable insights to our application team regarding the traffic being sent from various endpoints. They can monitor their applications and ensure there are no network issues that may impact their application.

I can't really answer this question since I've never needed to call support. NTA is simple to setup and use as long as you have a good understanding of netflow and how to setup connections on multi platforms.

SolarWinds support is surprisingly good, I've never had an issue with any of the people I've talked to in support. They always respond quickly and usually with a resolution. The upgrade paths can be quite complex but this has recently been improved, it used to be support would always have to be involved during upgrades but not anymore.

SolarWinds support in general isn't the best. It usually takes a while to get someone to help out. However they do have Thwack, which is a pretty awesome resource for any information.

I rate SolarWinds NTA 10 out of 10 because of the following reasons -

1. Ease of Use
2. Easy to deploy and Maintain
3. Full feature set to monitor almost every version and type of flow from various vendors such as Cisco, Juniper etc.
4. Easy Reporting/Dashboards available.
These are just few reasons to name however NTA use with npm makes it very effective when to say Complete Network Monitoring.

The time it takes to hear back from tech support is too long. Often times the support help doesn't really answer my question which creates frustration and a loss of time. I generally end up trouble shooting the issue myself. I would like to see some improvement in this area.

I would have rated it higher, but it did take some getting setup with it and there was very little to no help from the service staff when we attempted to contact them. However, the online documentation is fantastic and did get us up and running.

Haven't had the need to open any trouble tickets with SolarWinds for NTA yet. We have been able to solve any of our issues that have arisen using the online resources from SolarWinds in their Customer Portal or on the THWACK user community. THWACK has a better following than any other product we currently use with lots of people more than willing to help with your questions.
