To maintain the health of websites, it is essential to continuously monitor them. If you work with clients and they have a transactional site, like BigCommerce or Shopify, you want to know when it does down immediately. The tool also provides feedback to check the website speed, and dig deep with results that are actionable.
  • Website Uptime
  • Website Speed
  • Details
  • More colors in their interface :)
  • Maybe a white-label option for consultants
The page speed report details is great. You can dig into the filmstrip and timeline and see the breakdown of the visuals of the load and how the browsers read the lines of code. If you work with a team you can add other users and you can also email the report to others.
  • Understanding the holdups on sites that are transnational, how to make the checkout process faster.
  • If the site is always up, more sales. If it goes down, you are notified and you can fix it fast, or it's lost sales.
The detailed reporting and website uptime monitoring is something other tools don't provide. You don't want to get a call from a client or customer that your site is down, or lose sales if it brings in sales to you.
You get recommendations on how to enhance the page performance, breakdown of content type for the page, requests by domain, file requests, everything
They have a chatbot and if you need someone, they will come online or you can leave a message and they will email you back. They also have a great help support section anyone can go in and type their question to get quick answers. The support section is very comprehensive with many answers are your fingertips.
  • Easy of use
  • Layout of results, very easy on the eyes and detailed
  • none
When sifting through various website speed testing sites, this one is very easy to use. Very visual to share with others without them getting overwhelmed, it shows the main points to focus on, time delays at the exact location of load on the website. To help show someone how a site is performing this is hands down one of the easiest to use and share.

Pingdom is being used by the whole organization to monitor uptime. Before Pingdom, we had to find out when a client site was down by going to the site or if a client contacted us about it. This tool allows us to be much more proactive and react as soon as we get a notification that there is downtime.
  • Lots of great functionalities that you can customize to create notifications and the reports you want
  • Easy to understand reports
  • Easy to work with the tool - didn't have to learn anything, it is self-explanatory
  • There is nothing I don't like about Pingdom. It does exactly what I expect and need it to do but nothing more. It has a narrow purpose but it is an extremely useful tool.
Pingdom is a great tool if you are a working for a marketing agency or IT company where you have to manage websites. This allows us to know when your site is offline and you can also track conversions and page speed through the tool.
  • We can react quickly to downtime
  • We know about the downtime before our clients and we can notify them quickly which impresses them
  • It helps us figure out the root cause of the downtime issue.
I have not used other tools like Pingdom and i'm not aware of any competitors.

The tool is easy to use, no support is necessary
  • Monitoring client uptime and downtime
  • Understanding why a client's site is down and fix the issue as quickly as possible
  • Detailed reports of when a site went offline and came up online and how the site is performing
We will continue to work with Pingdom indefinitely. It is an extremely valuable tool.
  • Uptime and downtime reporting
Because it is easy to use and does exactly what we need it to do.
