We use Sophos Email company-wide, and it helps protect our emails from advanced threats, including phishing, spam, ransomware, and data leakage. It is AI-equipped for fast/accurate threat detection, comes with email encryption capabilities, and also features helpful DLP features. The ease of integrating Sophos Email with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 enables us to secure our inbound and outbound email traffic.

Pros

The URL protection makes it possible to quickly scan and block malicious links.
Comes with AI and advanced threat protection. These features make it easy to detect and block lookalike domains, handle behavioral analytics, block ransomware, and malicious attachments.
Sophos Phish threats are useful for training our employees to effortlessly detect email threats, such as phishing.
Comes with amazing DLP features.
It integrates effortlessly with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Cons

Needs better image-based threat detection features/capabilities.
Sometimes the false positives are many and can be annoying.
The detection accuracy can be better.

In addition, smooth integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 makes it easy to protect both incoming and outgoing emails.

The URL protection feature makes it easy to prescan email links before clicking and warns in case of suspected threats.
I like the automatic threat removal - it effectively removes suspicious emails after delivery.
Comes with amazing encryption features and also comes with great DLP capabilities.

With over aggressive filtering, we often experience false positives and too many alerts.

We use Sophos email as a way to protect and filter our staff's email boxes from all the junk and malicious emails that arrive daily. The way it integrates into our Sophos Central web portal is highly efficient for anyone on the IT Team to manage users, quarantined emails, filters, DLP policy, etc. And the new on-demand sandbox feature is one of the coolest things I have seen this year! I highly recommend this solution for anyone looking for a complete and reliable email security product that will make you rest easy at night.

Pros

Blocking specified file types as attachments
Allowing users to release quarantined emails
They are adding new features at a decent pace

Cons

Portal encryption. Outside users are not able to reply to everyone on the email chain. They can only reply to the person who sent the email.
You cannot control which mailboxes are licensed.
Email filtering. A lot of spam emails and spoofed emails tend to get through. This has gotten better recently with a slider that allows you to specify how aggressive the system is.
