Excellent Reasonably Priced Product for Remote Support

For remote support, Splashtop is excellent. It seems to offer all the features that its competitors uses at a fraction of the cost of them. You can file transfer, switch between monitors, send remote key combinations, video record your sessions and much more.

It's a great integration into Atera, it also provides a great SOS option to get staff connected if they don't have the agent installed. The quality of connection is usually very good and works better than others. Ability to adjust image quality based on internet speed is a huge feature for us.

Splashtop is well suited for large business environments with IT Departments that have to support a large number of devices. Splashtop is great for supporting end-users that are located at remote sites. Splashtop is suitable for organizations where end-users need frequent assistance with computer issues. Splashtop may not be suitable for organizations that do not require remote access to computers or that do not have a lot of end-user devices.

For any organization that is looking for an easily administered remote desktop solution, perhaps remote access for employees, or for remote IT support, I would say to look no further than Splashtop. If you have a large team, the price definitely increases, but they do offer a discount on bulk licensure (20% on 4 or more accounts, 25% on 10 or more accounts).

For a remote support tool, Splashtop has been fantastic. You ask your user to go to a website and then a download starts for a temp installer. It even knows if the user is on a Mac or Windows PC. The end-user gets a code, which they give to a technician and remote support can begin. After the session, the code is broken and not usable again for that machine. Security is a high priority for us and because of that, even though we have it, we don't use the agent-installed/unattended access. So that won't be reviewed here. You have a bevy of tools at your disposal too-- file transfer, screen mark-up, whiteboard, technician sharing, multi or single-screen view (for multiple monitors). If you're saying, "So what, I have a tool that does all of this...", then let me add that I have used most of the other Big Guys out there. I'm familiar with what they can and can't do. But Splashtop has impressed me (and my techs) with the value for the price, the features, ease of use, and also the support community at their company. If you're skeptical, I encourage you to sign up for a trial of their software and try it out. I think you'll be glad you did.
