We use Splashtop to share computers with specialized software installed amongst a team of individuals working both remotely and locally. I often log in and type things in programs like SQL developer, point of sale software, and other software that is installed on office computers. This allows us to avoid the extra work of software installation and updates along with the expense of additional licenses.
  • Remote desktop usage
  • File transfer
  • Monitoring current usage of remote PC prior to log-in via unattended access
  • Decrease lag when connections are slower
Splashtop is an excellent remote desktop and user support solution for businesses of any size. It allows users to easily work remotely and log in via unattended access, allows techs to support users and manage software installations with ease, and even allows remote monitoring of current computer status to avoid bothering non-remote users when they are currently engaged with work tasks.
  • Reduce costs associated with multiple software licenses by sharing PCs
  • Satisfy employees who prefer remote work
  • Reduce tech support costs and time
The Splashtop staff respond quickly to support requests and do a good job of QA in order to reduce the need for these requests.
Splashtop offers all of the security needed, including the security settings in the apps, two-factor authentication, etc.
Onboarding was easily done via self-service. There is very little time or effort required.
Yes
Logmein was replaced as that product is overpriced, and the huge year-to-year price increases make them an untrustworthy partner. Splashtop is stable and affordable.

There is no need to support Splashtop. I occasionally log in remotely and update the software on the streaming devices.
  • Remote login to use software on the computers
  • Local login to use software on the computers without switching desks
  • Remote login to support users and troubleshoot technical problems
  • Local login from other computers to avoid switching desks
  • Local login from other computers to save the costs of additional software licenses

The product works as well as most other solutions at a price that is very affordable. It is easy to use and simple to install.

I had a billing issue that was really a technical problem with their system. They contacted me back a few hours later even though it was the weekend and resolved the issue.
Splashtop is very easy to use. None of my team have had any difficulties.

Reseller
We use it for remote support for our clients. We have resold it to some of our clients to use as a remote solution for their staff working from home.
  • The instant SOS remote support is very easy for our techs to use
  • Unattended support is very good
  • Easy to switch to the web console from the desktop app if needed
  • File transfers drop frequently during remote sessions.
Well-suited for instant support via SOS and setting up computers for unattended access. Not suited for transferring files to and from a remote session.
  • We have looked very good to our clients recommending Splashtop for their staff to use working from home.
  • Our techs use this to support our clients remotely and is very solid software. We have used Go To Assist for a number of years and we are happy with Splashtop performance.
Never contacted support so the is not applicable
Very well-suited for our needs and for our clients who have purchased licenses on our recommendation.
Very easy to set up groups for computers. Setting up the streamers is easy for each group. Convenient to be able to install the business app without needing to login into the Splashtop website

We use Splashtop for remote desktop for a couple users who need access to a specific PC on the network. This was a simple and secure way to allow access to those users from their phones or laptops. We also use it with the SOS features for remote support. This was especially useful as we have had people working from home and needing technical support.
  • Remote support
  • Remote desktop
  • Easy to deploy and use
  • Simpler file transfers to/from remote pcs
  • Authentication options
Remarkably easy to remotely support any user with the SOS feature. User downloads and runs the app and then gives a code to the technician. The only challenge at times is the need for the end user to click on Windows security prompts. Even with that occasional challenge, being able to quickly remote into a machine no matter where is simple.
  • Simplicity for end users
  • Total cost of ownership
  • Quick deployment
I've only had to reach out to support once, but they were extremely helpful and resolved my issue quickly. They have solid help on the website that provides many simple answers to common problems ahead of even needing to contact their support. On a billing related issue they were easy to get in touch with and quickly resolved my issue.
I feel that Splashtop filled our need for remote desktop and remote support extremely well. The simple security of requiring authenticating devices as I login to them is great, although sometimes frustrating. (they have announced changes to setting lengths between authenticating devices, which should make this even better) Security is important and I feel Splashtop has protections to keep everything safe.
With the simplicity of Splashtop's streamer and SOS software I was able to setup and deploy extremely quickly. In about 15 minutes I was completely ready to go with remote support. Remote desktop is just as simple, install the stream software, some renaming for ease and remote access is ready to go.

Remote users of on premise software use Splashtop when working from home. We also use Splashtop for remote support of users using the SOS feature.

Cost is a large factor with software, but it also has to deliver on key features. Splashtop came in under expected cost and delivers on the most needed features for us.
I’d look at a few more vendors. Only really compared two before going with Splashtop.
  • no training
It was easy to work out and figure the basics to get get setup and running. A little bit of research to figure out the more advanced features. Overall a very simple product to learn and use
It’s super simple software to use and deploy. SOS is simple for remote support for both ends of the connection. Simple Remote Desktop also.

At times it’s hard to mouse around on a phone or small tablet. They have done a good job packing in mouse and keyboard controls on screen and the ability to hide them when unneeded. Performance seems to be as good as on a desktop

We use Splashtop SOS to remotely support our patient education tablets. Our tablets are used in hospitals and outpatient clinics. Security is a top priority. We had lots of problems finding a vendor with a solution that would work on a majority of Android tablets. Other options we looked at either were not full feature or were cost-prohibitive for a large number of devices. Splashtop SOS solved all of our problems.

  • We reduced our remote support software cost substantially.
  • We are able to provide better remote support to our end-users.
We have not had the need to connect with someone from Splashtop to resolve any issue.
We use Splashtop to remotely support Android tablets in a healthcare setting. Having end-to-end encryption is important. Having user-initiated support is important as well.
We were able to get up and running in a few minutes with Splashtop. The process was very simple.
Yes
We tried a few other remote support tools like Teamview. Splashtop worked the best for our team and budget.
Simply put, Splashtop SOS works. The remote control feature of SOTI's MobiControl just didn't work for us. We spent countless hours working with SOTI to get additional apps to support remote control for various Lenovo tablets. It was a huge burden and it just didn't work. TeamViewer was cost-prohibitive when compared to Splashtop SOS. Splashtop SOS is much easier to use and roll out.

Paying by technician licenses is more important for us than client device licenses. One technician can support hundreds of remote tablets. We are a small company, so we wanted and budget-friendly solution that would not require a lot of time or resources to deploy and manage.
If we were to do this all over again, we would hopefully start with Splashtop. We evaluated a few other options before we found Splashtop.
