How Splashtop Differs From Its Competitors

Splashtop Security

Security is at the forefront of IT these days. 2FA is an absolute mandatory and Splashtop ensures that your users and connections are secure. This gives me peace of mind.

I would welcome more robust security features, such as devices like Yubikey or Authenticator apps for integrating multifactor authentication. These may be config options that I have not used but the default setups have always been purely password-based, along with the ability for someone else …

I don't remember struggling to use Splashtop, as it acts and behaves very similar to other RDP products. I believe it was probably easier to learn and has fewer weird configuration options and setup features, nearly always using very reasonable and expected defaults.

Extremely. If it has taken more than five minutes to get it set up on any client's computer, that would be a lot. Does take a bit longer on OSX devices, but that's a Mac issue, not a Splashtop one.

We trust Splashtop Enterprise and haven't had any issues with the security it provides. The connections have been good, and it seems to meet all the industry standards. We haven't used all of the security functions but are very confident in the product if we had to use them.

We were up and running exceedingly quickly. We had no problems, and the product is very straightforward and easy to use. Anyone who has worked with remote tools before shouldn't have any issues being up and running in 1-20 minutes, if not less. It's a very easy product to use and understand.

It has been several years ago that I started using Splashtop. As I remember, I came from LogMeIn, which was just getting crazy expensive, but when I did the switch, I was done within two days. I support over 100 computers, so a lot of it was just getting the users to give me time to switch them …

  • It's allowed our organization to save on our communications budget which, as a non-profit, is crucial - especially during the pandemic, when income was a mere fraction of what we were used to.
  • Zero negative impact.

  • Splashtop definitely has a positive ROI for my business
  • Even though i would love to see a free version I can say that on average any business would benefit from having this software to aid in their customer helpdesk support or to assist admins with managing their workstations and/or departments.
  • Pricepoint can be a little steep for some persons who are at the micro business end of the stick.

  • Because I am able to dial in remotely, we did not have to hire a bookkeeper to take care of Quickbooks. This has saved our ministry a lot of money that can be used for other things.
  • It allows me to travel and dial in from anywhere to keep the book of the ministry up to date.

  • We saved about 25% compared to our previous remote access solution
  • The software has been reliable which means we haven't had to spend almost any labor to keep it functioning well.
  • The software has impacted our ability to provide instant support which has saved labor of having to physically go to where the machines are.

  • Saved hundreds of pounds in fuel and travel costs!
  • Encouraged customers to ask for support as they can get quick support and don't need to pay for an on-site visit. Average saving of £30 per session.
  • On the downside, using Splashtop has reduced the number of on-site visits, so fewer profits! But have been able to get more in a working day.

  • Incalculable ROI benefit when considering other alternatives.
  • Each service call I got required about 30 to 50 minutes of fumbling around to setup remote support. Now it's near instant, and in most cases my client doesn't have to do anything but sit back and watch. I get between 5 and 50 calls each day. You can do the math.
  • I have 4 remote offices, some more than 1000 miles away. Instead of having dedicated IT at each location, I can centrally manage from one of any of my 5 offices, or anywhere else with an internet connection.
