Acuity is being used to setup client sales calls, as well as to share availability for in-person services being offered.
It helps with ease of client contact, minimizes admin time, and ensures an organized process for client care
  • User friendly
  • Organizing categories and blocks of time
  • Great customer service
  • Enabling a more customized "thanks for booking" page
It's great for booking appointments or allowing customers to view a schedule and book themselves in. I use it for a small, one-woman business, but it would also be beneficial for larger organizations who want seamless transitioning between client contact and booking.
On the user end, it's great for maintaining and organized, seamless schedule to avoid conflicts or missed appointments.
I also love that it collects the client's information and provides a space to look up any client and their corresponding info quickly
  • User friendly, for those not technologically inclined
  • Organization through colour codes and tabs and various appointment types
  • Price point is more than reasonable
  • ROI - it has allowed me to stay on top of client interactions and personalize the experience more
  • Organization - it has allowed me to not miss contacts or appointments that I otherwise likely would
One of my favourite things about Acuity, in comparison to other business tools that I use, is the minimal monthly fee. It's more than reasonable for how well it organizes and schedules my time and my business
I am horrible with technology but I find Acuity extremely straight forward and simple to use, which is a huge perk for me
  • Creating or modifying my schedule
  • Sharing the link to my schedule
  • Integration into other platforms
  • Sometimes overlapping schedules or changing time-slots gets confusing

Acuity is one of the most popular appointment scheduling tools used within the beauty and well-being industry for small business startups. It allows clients to automatically book treatments online and helps business owners to manage their bookings and sync with their Google calendars. It also works well with CRM’s, such as Zoho and Hubspot, and integrates well with Zapier, which allows you to link to even more tools.
  • Optimize Appointment Diary: it allows you to maximize your appointment space once you have set up all your business settings and logistics.
  • Organizes your business: It connects well with email marketing tools like Mailchimp and Constant contact, and connects with accounting management apps like Quickbooks.
  • Automated communication: it sends out email and text reminders to customers, which can be switched on and off.
  • Although it syncs with your calendar, the only one it does that with is Google, which is frustrating for those with Outlook and Office 365 calendars.
  • It comes with a steep learning curve, as it’s not the easiest tool to set up if you’re totally new to scheduling tools.
  • The intake forms that you can create for your customers to fill-in prior to their appointment have word limits in each section, which can be frustrating.
Acuity is suited for mobile beauty, spa, and massage solopreneurs, as it takes the weight off having to manage bookings, send client reminders, or have to take in-person intake forms.
For those in Europe, Acuity is also GDPR and HIPAA compliant in the United States. It also promises not to sell to your clients, unlike other scheduling tools on the market.
  • By being able to integrate with payment tools, such as PayPal and Stripe, it takes the pressure away from having to take in-person payments.
  • Acuity scheduling can be managed on both your computer, tablet, and mobile device for when on the go.
  • The automated email and text communications to clients help to send reminders that have been known to reduce clients not showing up for their appointments.
I love troubleshooting and finding online resources, such as blog posts and YouTube videos, to resolve any issues faced. Luckily, there are a lot of how-to step-by-step video tutorials from experts. This makes it so much easier to learn how to set up and customize your booking page.
  • Synchronization with your calendar.
  • Integration with payment gateways.
  • Set up and installation.
Yes, but I don't use it
After you get over the initial learning curve of getting started, I found everything else so much easier to add, edit, and activate.

Currently I send a link to Acuity to potential new clients to schedule their free consultation; this saves time emailing back and forth to find a date and time that fits into both of our schedules.
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to get the links
  • Easy to sync with Google calendar
  • Not the prettiest interface
  • I like the look and feel of Calendly better
  • Doesn’t feel as user intuitive, when a client cancels they should really be encouraged to reschedule
It is free with Squarespace!
  • Continues to take less time to schedule appointments
  • Saved money on essential software
Calendly I just like better but Acuity is free, so I’ll get used to it.

Acuity Scheduling is being used by my company, Hatchbuck, and for a side project, I work on whenever we need our new clients to schedule a time to have a one on one for introduction and onboarding to our application. Scheduling things on its own is a challenge when you're trying to juggle between your available time slots and a client's available time slots, but Acuity Scheduling does a great job of displaying just enough information so the client and user can easily maintain and avoid double scheduling any appointments.
  • Acuity Scheduling has a simple view layout of seeing available times available to schedule a meeting.
  • Great integration with Google Calendar.
  • Overall, the platform is very simple to use.
  • I guess the design of the app could be prettier (I don't really care about design if the app functions properly.
  • I'm not going to say it needs to be more affordable - they offer a free version if anyone's upset about that. These people deserve a chance to earn your money and pay their bills too.
Acuity Scheduling is a great scheduling tool, especially if you're running a small business. I set up an Acuity Account for a side project where the owner of the license was starting her own therapy practice. Acuity allows a quick insight for her clients to schedule on her preset hours which eliminates the need to hire a secretary or spend more time on the phone organizing appointments. It saves her time that she can better have spent running more appointments. It's been perfect for her so far.
  • For a small business, this is a secretary replacement. This is beneficial when starting out until you get enough income to grow and hire out help.
  • It's a simple tool that does it's job right the first time.
  • If you're worried about price, there is an affordable free version to get you started until you can upgrade to the next tier.
Acuity Scheduling is the only tool I've used like this other than manually scheduling everything through a notebook or Google Calendar. This has worked out fine for me from the beginning, so I haven't had a need or desire to go shop for anything else yet.

The people that use Acuity Scheduling the most where I work represent our onboarding and sales teams. Acuity Scheduling helps them and our clients find times that work both for our teams as well as our clients. It's a simply tool that has held true and been reliable, we sometimes don't even notice that we're using it.
This question is really going to depend on how involved you want to get with Acuity Scheduling. If you have HIPPA requirements (that I can't vouch for because I have no experience with HIPPA whatsoever) you're probably going to need to jump through a few hurdles and communicate your needs with Acuity. If you really want to customize things and inject your own custom CSS into the scheduler, you may require a few people for that task.

If you're looking for something simple as a small business owner, you shouldn't need more than 2 in-house support members to run Acuity Scheduling.
  • Scheduling appointments with new clients
  • Scheduling appointments with potential clients
  • Scheduling appointments with current clients
  • I'm not sure of any unexpected ways that we have used Acuity Scheduling
  • Filling this field out
  • Only because 3 are required
  • I cannot think
  • Of any
  • Additional ways that we can use Acuity Scheduling
Acuity Scheduling has been very reliable. If you don't believe me, check out their status page here. They do a pretty decent job maintaining their app. To be fair, it's a pretty simple tool so they shouldn't run into too many hiccups given it doesn't feature near as many options as other applications on the market run.
  • Scheduling Appointments
  • Viewing your Scheduled Appointments
  • Setting up your calendar to display your available time slots
  • I have not been able to find difficult or cumbersome functions. This is only going to happen if you start messing with more complex functions where your development team should be able to handle.
It's a pretty simple tool. You view a calendar. You determine if you can make an appointment or not. You schedule it. You show up. They do a good job making the application easy to use for both the user and the client. I can't really go much deeper other than that.
