Sugar Market (Salesfusion) is being used as a contact management and marketing platform to ensure we are reaching all of our potential customers. Mostly the usage is to view web traffic and manage posted forms. However, single promotional emails are sent throughout the year with little usage of large scale campaigns.
  • Single email builder is a great function.
  • Web activity of a specific cookie email is great.
  • Its user functionality is not very intuitive, and I find myself clicking multiple buttons to figure out what I want to do.
Sugar Market (Salesfusion) is well suited for contact management and email campaigns.
  • Positive: Emailing campaigns
  • Negative: Many headaches for CRM integration

Salesfusion has been used by our marketing team. We use it for our communication hub for our customer communication. We send 5-6 various promotional/operational emails a week (not including ones that are a part of nurtures or auto-generated). We also use it to manage our mailing lists and to provide feedback to our sales department with regards to incorrect contact information, etc. It helps us to keep our CRM clean.
  • The email builder is easy to use.
  • The platform has a great mix of usability and functionality.
  • It's not an intuitive process to set up and manage nurture campaigns.
  • Building landing pages is very hard. You need coding knowledge.
  • The functionalities are limited and do not suit the needs of a mid-size company.
Salesfusion is a marketing automation platform more appropriate for small companies considering the limited functionalities are limited. The email builder tool is easy to use and ideal for someone with no coding knowledge.
  • We lost a lot of time building the email campaigns
  • We had to pay extra money to build the landing pages
  • The distribution list tool is very limited. We had to use our CRM to build the more specific distributions lists.

We selected Salesfusion at first mainly because of its low cost. When we realized the lack of functionalities, we decided to go for a more powerful marketing automation platform.

We currently use Salesfusion as one part of overall marketing strategy for our clients. Some use the service to communicate with existing clients, others use the system as a platform to attract new customers based on website interaction.
  • Easy to locate email tracking results.
  • Database management is simple and effective.
  • Lead scoring is easily managed and extremely helpful in directing potential quality leads to the appropriate contact person.
  • The user interface is somewhat cumbersome and not intuitive at times.
  • Additional user education available through downloads for existing customers rather than scheduled webinars would be helpful.
  • Custom reporting is complicated to set up.
More suited for businesses that rely heavily on email marketing or who are likely to have users visit their website on multiple occasions.
  • Web activity tracking has been helpful in creating higher conversion rates on landing pages.
  • Simple distribution list segmentation has improved efficiency in creating highly customized content.
  • Time investment to learn how to use the software initially was much higher than expected.
  • Initial implementation with the team was complicated and the process was not clearly defined, resulted in several unnecessary steps and multiple points of contact with Salesfusion team that could have been eliminated with a better outlined onboarding process.

Salesfusion is a much more robust system with options for advanced marketers. The data you'll accumulate by Salesfusion is beyond compare with the basic entry-level email systems on the market.
The support team has always been helpful, friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. They follow-up on all my tickets promptly and when needed are available for screen sharing to illustrate solutions for more complex problems. The support department at Salesfusion is one of my favorite things about the platform.
Yes
Yes. They've been prompt to address important bugs in my experience.
When I found a dead link to a third-party service, they stepped in and resolved the issue at no charge (typically the third-party affiliate service charged an additional fee).
