Not suited to be an online service. Just an orphan child of paychecks that does not get updated

I've used SurePayroll for over 6 years. System is good, overall through the many years I've had little to no complications with the actual website. I'll admit they have a great program that leaves you with little to no complaints. However if something does go wrong and you need help, you'll wish you never did business with these people because the customer service department is useless, in my opinion. Hours and hou you'll get rerouted 5-10 times and most of the times (9/10 times) at some point during your hold you'll get someone that would rather drop your call then deal with resolving your problem, in my opinion. When I say hours I mean minimum 3 hours to get anything done. I believe It's a endless holds and frustration. Most problems never do get resolved, in my opinion, I just either figure it out myself or give up on them all together. In my experience, when I finally gave up and canceled my services with them they were happy to charge me a fee in order for me to continue accessing all previous reports and files however gave no guidance as to how I can do so since they terminated my log in. In my experience, Now 4 hours of hold later I'm waiting for someone to pick up and give me new log in credentials to obtain previous employees W2. In my experience, 4 hours later , 2 people hung up on me, still no solution in sight. In my view, you would think a unique and complicated problem is at hand. Again, great website but long wait times on the phone makes it not worth it at all, in my opinion. I believe it would be better to go with a smalltime company that you can easily reach when you have a problem. In my opinion, a company that cares about their customers enough not to put them through such frustrating holds and incompetent representatives. Im sure they have plenty of smart and capable people that have gotten them this far but unfortunately, in my experience, I've never been lucky enough over the past 6 years to speak to one.

Terrible. Support hold times are 90+ minutes and I have had to talk to about 7 different people to try and get things done. We had a complete mess with transitioning people from one company to another and they took months to sort it out. My overall experience has been very bad and the bounce from person to person within their team AND THEIR LACK OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATION is alarming. I would switch but I cannot chance them screwing up again and creating tax issues for my employees. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience every time I try and deal with them.

I believe SurePayroll fraudulently transferred money for payroll taxes from a corporate account they are not associated with. In my opinion they moved this money without authorization into a business that uses their service, causing many assessments from the EDD for the other business that does not.

SurePayroll conducts fraudulent business practices. The service itself is mediocre. UI is counterintuitive, scheduling paychecks is arduous, payroll reports are not super customizable and hard to find/run, and tax info is somewhat hidden. But it does cut checks and handle tax filings. The fraud part comes in when you want to cancel your service. I tried using the website, emailing, and calling. Each time I was pointed to a different mechanism for canceling, none of which worked. Finally, after reconfiguring my pay schedule (which I didn't need since I was canceling), I was able to unlock the part of the website that allowed me to cancel. Even then, I had to click through about 10 screens, including two that made it look like they'd canceled my service when they had not as well as a screen that froze for over a minute. In addition, I no longer needed their service halfway through the year, but if I wanted them to file tax documents for the year I needed to keep paying them (for literally doing nothing) for the rest of the year. Do not recommend it.

Is a cheap option to do payroll for a small company...but beware when you have a problem customer service is deficient. Representatives are not trained, have no knowledge...

We use SurePayroll to make monthly payrolls in our company, as well as to close the month and year with all the income and expenses and most importantly to make tax payments. The application is perfect for making payrolls when the personnel adapted for it is not in the head office, SurePayroll has an application for mobiles that allows to make these operations remotely. The application is perfect when you want to make immediate payments, at the time of loading the payroll to the system, it proceeds to automatically perform transactions for each employee entered without any error.

If you have basic payroll needs they're great. If you ever encounter fraud, watch your back....and your bank accounts.

Make sure you take down the names of every person you talk with on the phone. This will proved invaluable if you need to contact them again. In case of fraud, all bets are off.

I love SurePayroll. Their telephone support is awesome. I travel a lot so it allows me to manage company payroll from anywhere in the world. I can change deductions, do 401K deductions, run reports, and do insurance reviews for our company's insurance broker. They even created a Paycheck Protection report for me to download to share with our bank. There isn't much that isn't possible with SurePayroll. The great thing is it gives me control at my fingertips. The errors that I had with a call-in payroll just never happen anymore.

I was on vacation in Italy and I ran payroll on a gondola.

SurePayroll is well suited for a small organization (nonprofits) where employees have many different roles. In our example, I worked in the fundraising, development, and communications department while also planning events and working alongside our Board and had very limited time. I knew that logging on to SurePayroll each week would ensure that the tasks I needed to do as they related to payroll would be done quickly so that I could move on to other, more urgent tasks.

SurePayroll is excellent for smaller nonprofits and for-profits. Maybe it would work for larger companies, too, but I don't have experience there.

SurePayroll offers a robust system for payroll at an appropriate cost for small businesses. All the features needed for a payroll service are offered along with great customer service. The web-based software is easy to use.

Really great for small to medium-sized businesses. Affordable and easy enough for a non-HR person to run.

SurePayroll is a near-perfect way for small business owners, who often handle many roles, to stay on top of all things payroll. I even recommend it for single-member LLCs, as paying yourself on the regular---and making sure taxes get handled---can be tough. SurePayroll eliminates a lot of the administrative stress that comes with the territory.

Great for independent person looking to pay a nanny/daycare provider without adding a huge cost to my bottom line.

SurePayroll works well for our small business. Not sure how it would work for a larger business, but it is simple and effective for what we need.

We are a small company with only 13-20 employees at one time, and SurePayroll has been a perfect fit for us. There is a bit of turnover with our laborers and it is easy to add and delete employees, and there is always a reminder to get all the right paperwork for each employee (W-4, I-9).
When payday rolls around, I usually only have to enter each employees hours worked and the rest is taken care of.

SurePayroll is well suited to processing payroll for companies who have contractors and employees who are paid on regular schedules. It is not set up for commission based contractors or contractors who get paid at random intervals.

Surepayroll is great for someone that is not always in the office. I can process payroll from a tablet or my phone.

Well suited for small companies with straightforward payrolls. Also nice if you have 1099 employees you need to pay as well. Does employee reimbursements with ease.

SurePayroll is well-suited for small to mid size organization for payroll services and tax preparation.
It is not suited for Nanny Payroll, as we are bound to one-year payment even though we only used the service for a few months

SurePayroll is best suited for small businesses with a small number of employees, that are in a well-populated state that SurePayroll has experience working in. In smaller states, such as Rhode Island, my experience with SurePayroll was that that they were not communicative and did not work well with the state's Department of Taxation. After repeated errors, I had to travel to the RI Department of Taxation myself and write out checks to correct errors that SurePayroll had made, and switched to Paychex (their slightly more expensive parent company).

SurePayroll works really well if the employees are willing to do direct deposit and the company is willing to outsource payroll entirely. If manual checks are involved, it works ok, but requires coordination. If international employees are involved, it gets tricky.
