I use SurferSEO to help me write optimized SEO content to rank higher on Google. First, I do keyword research with Semrush, then I use the content editor on Surfer to help me with things such as the optimized word count, number of times to use a keyword and semantic keywords, number of images, headings, and FAQs based on analysis of results on page 1 of Google. It integrates with Google Docs, so I can write in Docs and have the word count/keywords automatically updated and provide a score out of 100. Since I've started using SurferSEO I've been able to rank higher in the SERPS, as well as include many related keywords I never would have thought of. There is also an AI writing assistant which has just been released and improved. While I haven't used it much yet, I hope to be able to replace Jasper AI with it. Surfer now also integrates with Semrush, and the developers are extremely open to adding new features based on user requests.

- Have a pricing option that is based on the number of content editors and audits that don't expire - as well as monthly/yearly subscription options.
- The AI writing assistant isn't as good as other options such as Jasper - although it has just received a major update (which I haven't used yet).

For AI content writing, I have found that Jasper.ai is still the best option available, although Surfer has only recently integrated AI content writing (for free) and continues to make improvements. For keyword research, I find Semrush and Ahrefs are more accurate with keyword difficulty than SurferSEO is. For every other aspect of SEO, I prefer Surfer.
SurferSEO is an advanced analysis of the content copy in your website. Their tool also has a built in SEO Auditor, which lets you know how well optimized each page is with backlinks that need work done as well.
