SwipedOn takes care of reception desk processes - visitor management, receiving deliveries, and employee in-out. The vendor states it can replace a paper visitor book to a secure digital solution in under 10 minutes, and streamline a reception desk with a smart, simple visitor management solution boasting users among leading brands worldwide.

SwipedOn - Efficient, Easy, Professional & Good Value

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SwipedOn for the whole company which is our employee and fire register. In addition we use this for all visitors.

We used to use a file and everyone would sign-in, this caused Fire and Safety regulation issues as people used to forget.

When visitors arrived some of them would look through the book to see which competitors have been here, now they can't.

This system ensures we are GDPR compliant and we meet all Fire and Safety regulations for our evacuation controls.

Finally, we can report on employees in/out timings to ensure all are working within contracts.


Pros

  • Accurate recording of all staff in/out including lunch-breaks - you can monitor this internally and especially useful in an employee review
  • Accurate recording and great history of all visitors - Having the history of when visitors arrive can also assist with future meetings

Cons

  • Could do with accessing it via an app without extra cost - however, they may do this and I just haven't found it.

  • Having at our fingertips a full list of staff in the office, especially as our fire register
  • Notifications that visitors have arrived
  • Reporting function

  • Time keeping with staff, this has ensured all staff arrive/leave on time with their allocated breaks
  • Assists with health and safety, fire register, without having to purchase another system

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Prints our photo badges automatically!

Cons

  • Kiosk mode doesn't work well. iPad frequently goes into "Sleep" mode regardless of kiosk setting.
  • Connection to printer via WiFi isn't great... loses connection frequently. Bluetooth works awesome!

  • Positive ROI as this eliminated the need to have a phone and someone dedicated to greeting visitors.
  • Gives visitors an impression that our company uses the latest in available technology.

Pros

  • Great example of innovation for visitors to the business. We often hear remarks from visitors how impressed they are.
  • Simple yet effective method for employees to sign in out.
  • Simple administration tools to add/remove employees.
  • Information can easily be extracted into Excel.

Cons

  • Software reliability - I don't know if it is a software issue of whether it is our iPad, but occasionally the application crashes.

Return on Investment

  • It has made fire alarm tests far easier as previously we had to take large sign-in boards out to our car park. Now a number of staff have access on their phones to obtain an evacuation list.

SwipedOn Visitor Management System - A Great Tool for Knowing Who is In or Out of the Office

Pros

  • SwipedOn is great for knowing the whereabouts of staff and who is in the office at any given time.
  • SwipedOn is great for accounting for all staff and visitors during an evacuation (for example if we experience an earthquake or fire alarm).

Cons

  • Our staff that uses SwipedOn Visitor Management System find it very easy and useful. Some visitors struggle a little, not realizing they need to scroll down to complete the sign-in process.

  • Swiped On Visitor Management System helps with productivity as we can see quickly who is in the office and who is not.

SwipedOn Visitor Management System - A great tool at a good price.

Pros

  • SwipedOn works great to provide a visitor system that can be centrally managed and updated as needed.
  • The SwipedOn use of iPad's makes set up and presentation a breeze.
  • SwipedOn has also recently added a way to manage deliveries which is great.

Cons

  • Integration with the enterprise-active directory is coming out nicely.
  • It would be nice if the system integrated into the door system so that employees logging in could use their security tokens.

  • I believe that this system has had a positive ROI for our business.

ADP Workforce Now
